Counter Logic Gaming vs FlyQuest

Counter Logic Gaming picked up a hard-fought 2-1 series win over Cloud9 on Saturday during Week 5, Day 2 of the North American League of Legends Championship Series in Los Angeles. C9 bounced back nicely after dropping the opening game-by-game to get the ‘W’ in a hard-fought showdown that went back and forth for nearly 20 minutes. With CLG dedicating several members to the bottom portion of the map, Cloud9 quickly kicked off a robust 20-minute Baron that went uncontested. The early going in the third and final match was largely played close to the vest as both teams looked to avoid giving the pivotal match away early on. Moreover, CLG found themselves pulling ahead as Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett picked up several kills for his team as well as the first two dragons of the game. While Cloud9 was able to defend its Nexus when a tower fell at the 26-minute mark, they ultimately could not defend well enough to stop CLG from getting the 31-minute victory. Counter Logic Gaming will take on Team Liquid Sunday at 6:00 PM ET while Cloud9 will attempt to shake off the defeat Saturday, July 14th, against EnVyUs at 6:00 PM ET. Right now, both, CLG and Team Liquid both look like virtual locks to win their respective Week 6 matchups. Echo Fox picked up a 2-1 eSports victory over Team Liquid on Saturday during Week 5.

Immortals vs. Echo Fox

Echo Fox picked up a 2-1 victory over Team Liquid on Saturday during Week 5, Day 2 of the North American League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split in Los Angeles. Furthermore, Echo Fox (4-5, 10-11 combat record) won the opener in a match that saw just seven kills total in 33 minutes of play. Team Liquid took Game 2 in under 29 minutes, but Team Liquid, took Game 3 by duplicating its plan from Game 1. On the other hand, Echo Fox will take on FlyQuest on Sunday at 3 PM ET and Counter Logic Gaming later that day at 6 PM ET. I’m expecting Echo Fox to lose against Team Liquid while narrowly falling to FlyQuest and you should too. eSports Pick: Echo Fox in 3 Games

TSM vs. Phoenix1

Team SoloMid (7-3, 16-7 match record) swept the first-place Immortals to kick off Saturday’s action during Week 5, Day 2 in the North American League of Legends Championship Series in Los Angeles and now they have the look of a team that will not be denied when they square off against Phoenix1 on Saturday. Immortals will take on the struggling Phoenix1 on Sunday at 3 PM ET. With team SoloMid struggling mightily right now, TSM is the pick to get the win and advance. eSports Pick: TSM in 3 Games
