Counter Logic Gaming vs FlyQuest
Counter Logic Gaming picked up a hard-fought 2-1 series win over Cloud9 on Saturday during Week 5, Day 2 of the North American League of Legends Championship Series in Los Angeles. C9 bounced back nicely after dropping the opening game-by-game to get the ‘W’ in a hard-fought showdown that went back and forth for nearly 20 minutes. With CLG dedicating several members to the bottom portion of the map, Cloud9 quickly kicked off a robust 20-minute Baron that went uncontested. The early going in the third and final match was largely played close to the vest as both teams looked to avoid giving the pivotal match away early on. Moreover, CLG found themselves pulling ahead as Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett picked up several kills for his team as well as the first two dragons of the game. While Cloud9 was able to defend its Nexus when a tower fell at the 26-minute mark, they ultimately could not defend well enough to stop CLG from getting the 31-minute victory. Counter Logic Gaming will take on Team Liquid Sunday at 6:00 PM ET while Cloud9 will attempt to shake off the defeat Saturday, July 14th, against EnVyUs at 6:00 PM ET. Right now, both, CLG and Team Liquid both look like virtual locks to win their respective Week 6 matchups.
