Summer is upon us, which means that it’s time to switch gears in the Esports world, with the League of Legends Summer tournaments now kicking off all over the world. The LOL leagues are split into different regions, from North America to China and all points in between. It is still very early going in the leagues that have started, so teams will be looking to settle into a groove as they go in search of a playoff spot and the money prizes that comes with that. The LCK is the Korean version of the League of Legends, and they will be playing 4 games on the weekend schedule. There are 10 teams in this league, 5 of whom will make the playoffs. Let’s take a closer look at the 4 games set to go this weekend so you can place your bets against their League of Legends odds.

League of Legends LCK Summer Split – June 20 & 21 Matches

Afreeca Freecs Vs Team Dynamics – Saturday at 4 AM EST

This is a great way to start the weekend in the LCK, as it features a pair of unbeaten teams going head to head. In fairness, though, they have both played but a single game, but they both won in convincing fashion, winning 2-0 in their season openers. Afreeca got their win over Sandbox Gaming, who have not looked good at all in the early going, so we might just see them have a much tougher time against this opponent, which is why I am on Team Dynamics to win this one.

T1 Vs Hanwha Life Esports – Saturday at 7 AM EST

The opening game of the season did not play out the way either of these teams had hoped. T1 lost 2-1 to DragonX, the team who are currently sitting on top of the league with a perfect 2-0 record. Hanwha also lost their opening best of 3 game 2-1, going down to APK Prince. I think it was T1 who had the tougher start to the season. They are a good team that should be able to bounce back, so look for them to get in the win column on Sunday morning.

Kt Rolster Vs Gen.G – Sunday at 4 AM EST

Sunday morning begins with a best of 3 featuring a pair of teams looking to get their first win of the season. kt Rolster were rather soundly beaten in this opener, going down 2-0 against Team Dynamics. Gen.G also lost their opening game of the Summer Season, but they were perhaps a little unlucky to be on the losing end of things, going down 2-1 against division leaders DragonX. Based on those opening game outcomes, I think that Gen.G are the League of Legends team to pick here.

APK Prince Vs DAMWON Gaming – Sunday at 7 AM EST

The LCK weekend schedule closes out with what looks to be a good matchup between a pair of unbeaten teams. It is a little early in the Summer Season to be getting too carried away, but DAMWON Gaming looked very good in their 2-0 win over Sandbox. APK were made to work a little harder to get their first win of the season, taking out Hanwha in a 2-1 win. A close one here, but I am leaning towards DAMWON.
