eSports Betting: League of Legends PulseFire Cup May 19th Matches

Written by on May 18, 2020

We are slowly but surely beginning to see some sports leagues either return or put serious plans in place for a return to action. There is still a lot of uncertainty, though, but one thing that we can be sure of is that eSports will continue unabated. There are several smaller leagues and tournaments going on in the space that resides between the spring and summer leagues, with the PulseFire Cup the one to watch for fans of the League of Legends. This 8-team event is currently taking place in Vietnam, with the teams split into 2 groups. The top 2 in each group will head into the playoffs, and while the prize money is not huge, it is still a very competitive tournament. Let’s take a look at the 4 games set to be played on Tuesday and their League of Legends betting odds.

League of Legends PulseFire Cup May 19th Matches

OverPower Esports Vs EVOS Esports

Group A is still quite wide open at this point, which makes this game of vital importance for both teams. OnePower would appear to have the upper hand, as they come into this one with a 1-1 record from their opening 2 games. A win here would apply the pressure to CERBERUS, who will be going against the group leaders later in the day. EVOS are unlikely to be moving on, as they have failed to pick up a win from their first 2 games. The pressure is all on OverPower here, but I think they overcome it and get the win they need.

CERBERUS Esports Vs Team Flash

The playoff teams will be decided in this game, with Team Flash looking very much the favorite to win and advance. They have been perfect through the opening 2 rounds of the group stage, going 2-0 to land on top of Group A. They will be looking to maintain that perfect record against a CERBRUS team that still has designs on taking one of the two available playoff spots. They need a win here to guarantee that, as they are 1-1 at the moment. Tough to imagine Team Flash losing here.

Percent Esports Vs Team Secret

We already know which two League of Legends teams will be moving on from Group B and into the playoffs, and it is neither of these two. Both of these teams are coming into this game with an 0-2 record, so there really is nothing to play for but pride at this point. That makes things a little trickier when trying to handicap this game, as you never really know who is going to be up for it and who wants this event to be over. It’s a coin flip, to be sure, and I am going to stick my neck out and take Team Secret.

Dashing Buffalo Vs GAM Esports

As you may have already guessed, it will be these two teams moving on to the playoffs, but where they land and who they will play will be decided in this one. Of the 8 teams taking part in the PulseFire Cup, only 3 have managed to go unbeaten through the opening round of the group stage. Only one of these teams will remain unbeaten heading into the playoffs, with my money going on Dashing Buffalo in what should be a good one.
