Overwatch League Weekend Matches Odds April 11th Edition

You would imagine that while the sports world is on total lockdown across the globe, the current virus situation would have zero impact on eSports. While many leagues are carrying on as normal, the Overwatch League had to do a little adjustment. This is a 20-team league spread out across the world. The goal for this season was to have a home and away schedule, with games played in the respective cities of each team. That has been put on hold for now, with the league moving to an online only format. The good news is that we have some action set to go this weekend, so let’s take a look at some of the better games and Overwatch League Odds on the schedule between Saturday and Sunday, all of which can be viewed online.

Philadelphia Fusion Vs Paris Eternal

The Atlantic Conference is ahead of the Pacific in terms of games played, which is not that surprising when you consider that most of the Pacific Conference teams are based in Asia, where the virus started early. The battle for the top spot in the Atlantic is beginning to heat up, with Philadelphia holding onto the top spot with a 6-1 record. Paris Eternal are not that far off the pace, though, coming into this one with a 5-2 record, knowing that a win here could potentially give them at least a share of the lead. That said, I think it will be Philly who take this one on Saturday.

Vancouver Titans Vs Guangzhou Charge

We are heading into the second week of online only games, with the Pacific Conference needing to play catch-up after a bit of a layoff. The Vancouver Titans are sitting atop the conference after winning both games that they have played this season, and they will look to remain undefeated against a Charge team that is coming into this one at .500, sitting at 2-2 after 4 games played. Vancouver look to be one of the strongest teams in the OWL this season, so look for them to win again on Saturday.

Houston Outlaws Vs Toronto Defiant

We have another full slate of games on the Sunday schedule, with a pair of teams in the Atlantic Conference going head to head and looking to get back to winning ways. It’s still early, but both Houston and Toronto are in danger of quickly losing touch with the top teams if they do not start picking up a few victories. Houston is in particularly bad shape, sitting at 2-6, which has them 19th out of 20 teams in the OWL. Toronto is a little better off, although at 3-4, they would love to get back to .500 and build from there. That’s exactly what I think Toronto will do on Sunday.

San Francisco Shock vs Los Angeles Gladiators

We head back to the Pacific Conference for a matchup between a pair of US-based teams who have been struggling to find their consistency in the early going. Both teams are currently sitting at 2-2 on the season, which has them sitting behind Seoul and Vancouver, both of whom are unbeaten at the time of writing. This looks to be a very evenly matched game, but I still think that San Francisco are the stronger of the two teams, which is why I have them winning this one.
