Why Italy will win the Men’s European Volleyball Championship
The Italians not only host the finals, but Italy, along with Russia, has also won the most EuroVolley Championships. The Italians are defending titlists after taking the 2021 CEV tournament.
Italy boasts experience. Many players from the 2021 squad are part of this year’s team, including Mattia Bottolo, Giulio Pinali, Francesco Racine, and Alessandro Michieletto.
Italy not only won the CEV Men’s European Volleyball title in 2021, but they also made it to the quarterfinals at the 2020 Olympics that took place in 2021 due to the pandemic.

Why Poland will win the Men’s European Volleyball Championship
Runner-ups in 2021, Poland will be looking to secure a Men’s European Volleyball title this year. Like Italy, the Polish return plenty of experience from the 2021 squad.
Jakub Popiwczak and Lukasz Kaczmarek lead the squad. Kaczmarek is a three-time Champions League Volleyball titlist with professional squad ZAKSA.
Others on the team with experience include Pawel Zatorski, a teammate of Kaczmarek on the 2021 ZAKSA Champions League squad.
Poland made it to the quarterfinals at the 2020 Japan Olympics, which happened in 2021 due to the pandemic. Poland also finished second at the 2019 World Cup.

France | Third Pick to Win
Why France will win the Men’s European Volleyball Championship
Barthelemy Chinenyeze will lead the French side at the 2023 CEV European Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Chinenyeze was a member of the 2020 squad that took the gold medal at the Japan Olympics. The Olympics, in case you forgot, happened in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chinenyeze isn’t alone. Jenna Grebennikov and Jean Patry were also a part of the 2020 gold medal squad. In 2021, France finished in the Round of 16 and in ninth place at the CEV European Men’s Volleyball Championship.

European Volleyball Championships Final Betting Analysis
Which of the three favorites will win the Men’s European Volleyball Championship?
Italy will be difficult to beat. But the Italians didn’t qualify for this year’s World Cup. Italy also lost in the semifinals at the 2022 Nations League.
France is worth a look. But the French finished in eighth place at the Nation’s League in 2023. So although France won the last Olympic Games gold medal, the French are tough to back.
The team that won this year’s Nations League is our top pick. Poland not only took the Nations League trophy home this year, but finished behind Italy at the last CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship.
In addition, the Polish boast plenty of professional talent. Zatorski and Kaczmarek will ensure Poland makes it to at least the semifinals. Then, because they’re used to throwing down on teams like ZASKA, Poland will prevail and win the 2023 CEV European Volleyball Championship.
