Canadian Football League 2022 Grey Cup Odds and Betting Update After Week 4

The longest week of the CFL season has been completed. Four straight days of Canadian Football has never hurt anyone. There seems to be a massive shift with the Grey Cup odds. Some teams are really falling behind but others are gaining some ground!

Updated 2022 Grey Cup Betting Odds Heading Into Week 5 of the CFL Regular Season

TIER 1: The Favorites

  • Winnipeg Blue Bombers: +225

The defending champs have consistently proven they are destined for glory. There has yet to be a team as dominant as the Blue Bombers.

The offense is still slacking a fair bit. They are averaging 21.8 PPG and are lacking in points being scored. QB Zach Collaros has been limiting his turnovers and is being a tad bit conservative. Pushing the ball down the field could really put this team over the top.

Their defense has been nearly lights out thus far. Allowing a league low of 15.8 PPG and has two sacks per game. They are able to limit their opponents which allows a buffer for their low scoring offense.

  • BC Lions: +350

No team this year has been as fun to watch as the BC Lions. They are unmatched on both sides of the ball. It truly does not get much better than the West Coast!

This offense leads the CFL in every positive offensive category. They are number one in points, scrimmage yards, passing yards, and rushing yards. Canadian QB Nathan Rourke has been the best player in the league by a wide shot and has made the most of his weapons.

The roaring defense has played an unreal past few weeks. They allow the least amount of yards per game. They allow 16.3 points per game which is insane as well. They have 3.3 sacks per game and 0.7 fumbles per game. The value for this team is insane so take advantage while you can!

  • Calgary Stampeders: +400

There was a fair bit of concern regarding the Stampeders heading into the year however, they have continually exceeded expectations.

This is a very dynamic offense which is very hard to match up well against. Weapons like Ka’Deem Carey and Malik Henry have been a nightmare for opposing coaches. Bo Levi Mitchell has been slinging the ball better than last year so this team could continue to surprise teams.

Their defense has been causing mayhem across Canadian football. They have forced over a fumble per game along with two sacks per game. It is not easy to beat this red hot stamps team!

TIER 2: Middle of the pack

  • Saskatchewan Roughriders: +600

They played a great bounce back game and this is a phenomenal team.

Cody Fajardo has been unreal. He is very dynamic and has limited his turnovers. Duke Williams and Kian Schaffer-Baker have been balling out.

The Regina sack party is still making noise. The fact they were able to limit penalties and force many turnovers has been unreal for a team whose odds have dropped. There is some true value for this team.

  • Toronto Argonauts: +800

Very similar to their NHL counterpart, the Argonauts have been rather disappointing.

There has been limited scoring for this offense and has yet to run away with a game this year. The Argos have had minimal dominance in the 6 thus far. There is a cause for concern and would not consider betting on them as their odds continue to slide.

  • Montreal Alouettes: +1000

The Als currently hold a lot of value with their current standing. They have proven they can compete and are elite on both sides of the ball.

They will soon enough find ways to win and their odds will more than likely not drop farther than this. Take the value pick from La Belle Province!

TIER 3: Down but not out

  • Hamilton Tiger Cats: +2000

It cannot be said enough how disappointing this team has been. The two time runner up sees their odds continue to fall.

Dane Evans has been turning over the ball at an irregular level and that has been a huge downfall for a very talented team. You should not trust the Tiger-Cats with your money.

  • Ottawa Redblacks: +2000

Even with a team that has been consistently playing solid football, the Redblacks have yet to get over the hump on the quest to their first win.

There is no fire with this team and they have not given anyone any reason to place their money on a mediocre team.

  • Edmonton Elks: +5000

It’s great that the Elks FINALLY managed to capture their first win with Tre Ford but they are still the worst team in the CFL by a fair bit.

At least they have McDavid right?

Game of the week: Stampeders vs Elks

There are only three games this week but the best game to bet on his the Stampeders vs the Elks.

The Stampeders are listed as three and a half point favorites which is just way too low. The Stampeders will blow the Elk out of the water due to a poor matchup for Edmonton. Hammer the Stampeders 3.5!
