NCAAF Kentucky Wildcats Win/Loss Total Betting Prediction for the 2022 Season

NCAAF Kentucky Wildcats Win/Loss Total Betting Prediction for the 2022 Season

In college football, there are certain schools that are expected to perform well and be in the National Championship conversation. Anything short of that is considered to be a failure, with the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Clemson all under more pressure than most. In their favor, though, us the fact that they are able to recruit the best players in the nation. That makes things very tough for the schools that share divisions and conferences with these teams, which is why the likes of the Kentucky Wildcats always seem to be playing catch-up. This, though, is a team that has a pair of 10-win seasons in the last 4 years, including last season, and who are on a run of 4 straight bowl game wins. What can we expect from the Wildcats this season? Can they cross the 7 ½ game win total set by the bookies? Let’s take a look and see so you can continue planning your bets against the NCAA Football Regular Season Wins Odds.

Kentucky 2022 Season Betting Prediction: Win/Loss Total Record

Wildcats Regular Season

The Wildcats should be able to get the season off to a winning start against Miami-Ohio in Week 1, but things get a good deal tougher in Week 2 when they go on the road to face Florida. The reminder of September looks much more manageable, with Youngstown State and Northern Illinois coming to town. At the very worst, you would expect Kentucky to be 3-1 after the first month.

October is not quite so kind, though, and opens with a road trip to face the high-flying offense of Ole Miss. While the next 2 games for Kentucky are at home, South Carolina and Mississippi State are certainly not easy opponents. They close out the month on the road to Tennessee, and they could well be looking at a .500 record for the month.

The Wildcats will kick off the month of November with a winnable game on the road to Missouri, after which they have another winnable game at home to Vanderbilt. That might well be enough to have them sitting at 7 wins heading into their final 2 games of the season. Given that the penultimate game of the year is on the road at Georgia, you get the feeling that Kentucky will need to win their final home game against Louisville to cross the 7 ½ game mark.

You look at the schedule, particularly the games that the Wildcats need to play on the road, and you find it hard to believe that they will match the 10 wins that they delivered last season. That said, there are enough winnable games on there to get them to 8 regular season wins, which has me leaning toward the OVER in this one.

Beyond the Regular Season

With Georgia the top team in the SEC East, the Kentucky Wildcats are always going to have a close to impossible time making a run at the division and the Conference Championship Game. There most likely path is to another bowl game, which would be their 5th in a row, with the more wins they manage meaning a better game during the holiday season.
