Which team offers the fairer odds? Barcelona or Real Madrid?

Everything comes together for Barcelona, they should dominate, right? There’s a deal on the table to keep Lionel Messi around until he’s close to 40.

One of the Netherland’s top players, Memphis Depay, should start in a Barcelona kit this season. Sergio Aguero has already decided to leave Manchester City for Barca and Eric Garcia is headed back to Camp Nou.

But although everything looks rosy on the outside, the truth is that Barcelona could be in a world of hurt unless they make massive changes. The reason Barca has yet to announce the Messi deal is because they’re struggling to find enough money to keep him.

Barcelona is in debt an incredible 1.175 billion euros. The soccer club took out an over 500 million euros loan with Goldman Sachs. Yes, Barca has a month or so to get everything in line. Will they is the issue.

Even if they do, Real Madrid is prime for a bounce back. Madrid rehired Carlo Ancelotti, the man that helped RM to a Copa Del Rey trophy, a Champions League trophy, and the UEFA Super Cup.

Real is loaded. They’ve got talent for days. There’s also a rumor Kylian Mbappe lands in Madrid. If he does, Real’s odds will fall to about where Barcelona’s are.

Do the odds make Atletico a legit play to beat out Barca and Real?

Atletico won the 2020-2021 La Liga Primera Division. So why couldn’t Luis Suarez and his mates take the title again?

Unless something drastic happens, Atletico should field close to the same squad, Suarez, Kieran Trippier, Jao Felix, etc., as they did last season. If Barca and Real can’t get past the issues that plagued them in 2020-2021, Atletico will be right there to win their second straight La Liga championship.

Does Sevilla’s odds make them an underlay or overlay?

Sevilla is a good soccer club. But for some reason, they have trouble getting over the hump. For starters, they don’t possess a top flight player.

Isco plays for Real. Barca has Messi. Atletico has Suarez. Who does Sevilla have? Ivan Rakitic and Fernando are both 33. Luuk de Jong is 30.

Sevilla will have a shot because they’re a talented bunch. But we should expect better odds than +1500 to back them versus Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid.

Is there a legit underdog after Sevilla with a shot of winning this season’s Primera Division title?

Villareal and Athletic Bilbao are decent soccer clubs. Athletic Bilbao won the Copa del Rey this past season. They ended the season on a sour note, but they played great for most of it.

Villareal almost pulled off a Europa League victory. Both are up against it versus the Big 3. Both deserve a look before Sevilla, though. So if you want to back a team to win La Liga with massive odds and that has a shot, consider backing Villareal or Bilbao.
