Thursday’s MLB Picks have really good odds to look at. And there are some exciting divisional battles going on right now, the tightest of which may well be in the NL West, where the Rockies, Diamondbacks, and Dodgers are all within a couple of games of one another. The Rockies and Diamondbacks will be going head to head in a huge series this week, which may open the door for the Dodgers, who have what looks like a winnable series versus the Mets. We will be looking at the Thursday match-ups in those series, as well as the game between the Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers.

Arizona Diamondbacks (44-27) at Colorado Rockies (47-26)

When: Thursday, June 22 at 3:10 PM EST Where: Coors Field, Denver TV: MLBN Probable Pitchers: Zack Godley Vs Antonio Senzatela Analysis: The Diamondbacks are now 2 games back of the Rockies after losing the opening game of the series to them on Tuesday night. The result is not that surprising given that this team has done most of their good work on home field, where they are 26-9. The loss to the Rockies takes them to .500 on the road so far this season. Thy will be sending Zack Godley (2-1, 2.34 ERA) to the mound on Thursday afternoon. The Rockies are once again on another big roll, as their win over the Diamondbacks in the opener saw them extend their winning streak to 6 games. They are now 22-13 in their own ball park, which sees them get a little closer to their excellent road record of 25-13. Their home win streak is now at 8 games, and shows little sign of slowing down. Detroit Tigers (32-38) at Seattle Mariners (36-37)

When: Thursday, June 22 at 10:10 PM EST Where: Safeco Field, Seattle TV: MLBN Probable Pitchers: Daniel Norris Vs Yovani Gallardo Analysis: There are signs that the Central Division is starting to change, with the Cleveland Indians suddenly back on top and in form. That is bad news for a Tigers team that has now lost 4 straight, and who are 5.5 games off the pace. Included in those losses are back to back defeats in this series, taking the Tigers record on the road to a dismal 14-22. Daniel Norris (4-4, 4.42 ERA) is expected to start for the Tigers in this one. The Mariners are in a bit of a tough spot, as they are in the West division, which is one that is being totally dominated by the Astros. Realistically, the goal now would be to try and get into a battle for a Wild Card spot in the second half of the season, and with 3 wins in a row, this team may just be starting to show some signs of life. New York Mets (31-39) at LA Dodgers (46-26)

Oddly enough, this team has been better on the road than at home, but they ae still 2 games under .500 in hostile territory, and have given up 22 runs in their first 2 games in this series. Steven Matz (1-1, 3.21 ERA) will try to stop the bleeding on Thursday. The Dodgers are doing all they can to keep pace with the red-hot Colorado Rockies, and have reeled off 4-straight wins, as well as 9 wins in their last 10. This is a team on fire right now, and the bats are incredibly hot, with the offense now 5th in the league in total runs scored.
