Heading into the start of the new MLB season, the biggest questions being asked was which team would be able to challenge the Cleveland Indians for conference supremacy this year. After all, it was the Indians who came within a game of winning the World Series last season, and with their core group of players still intact, the feeling was that they would be the team to beat again this time around. The Oakland A’s (21-25) have finally hauled themselves off the bottom of the AL West, but if truth be told, it is more to do with the current collapse of the Seattle Mariners as opposed to anything that Oakland are doing. The A’s are a bit of a tough team to figure out, simply because they seem to be a totally different team on the road than they are at home. They are currently 5 games above .500 in their own ball park, but are just 6-15 on the road. That has to be a little troubling when you consider that the Yankees have one of the best home records in baseball right now. Kendall Graveman (2-2, 3.83 ERA) will start for the A’s.
