Cleveland at Baltimore

The Cleveland Indians have opened up a 7-game lead in the Central, but have been playing some mediocre ball of late, having gone just 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Orioles were leading the way for a major portion of the first half, but they have now given up the lead in the East to the red hot Boston Red Sox. They too are just 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Texas at Kansas

The Rangers are one of those teams who are rumored to be looking at making some moves at the trade deadline. They have some real injury concerns at the moment, and have seen their lead in the West cut down to 3.5 games. They are just 2-8 in their last 10 games, and really need a series win to get things rolling again. The World Champion Royals are not having a particularly good season, and are currently 9 games back in the Central. It’s going to be interesting to see what they do when the deadline hits.

LA Dodgers at Houston

This is a very interesting looking interleague series, as both of these teams are in a chasing role in their respective divisions. The Dodgers have seen the West go their way for the past few season, but they are currently sitting 3 games back of the Giants, although they have been very slowly chipping away at the lead for the past couple of weeks. The Houston Astros are closing the gap on the Texas Rangers in the West, and will be looking to continue picking up wins with the Rangers currently on a real slide.
