Written by on February 28, 2017

With the 2017 MLB regular season set to get underway in just about a month, now is the perfect time to take a look at the value-packed, season-long futures odds to win the 2017 World Series. Even better yet, you’re going to get a handful of expert picks on just how many games a half-dozen teams will win this coming season, including the World Series-defending champion Chicago Cubs. Now, let’s get started with a look at the win totals for every team as well as some MLB predictions.

Here’s A Closer Look At The MLB Total Win Projections For The 2017 Season

2017 MLB Win Totals

Cubs 95.5 Indians 92.5 Dodgers 91.5 Nationals 90.5 Red Sox 90.5 Mets 89.5 Astros 87.5 Cardinals 87.5 Giants 87.5 Blue Jays 86.5 Rangers 86.5 Mariners 85.5 Pirates 85.5 Tigers 85.5 Orioles 84.5 Yankees 83.5 Royals 80.5 Rockies 79.5 Diamondbacks 78.5 Marlins 77.5 Angels 76.5 Rays 75.5 Reds 73.5 White Sox 73.5 Brewers 72.5 Phillies 72.5 Braves 71.5 Twins 70.5 Athletics 66.5 Padres 64.5

Cubs 95.5

Analysis: The lovable Cubbies won an impressive 103 games last season to easily surpass their 89-win total odds from a year ago and I believe Chicago will be good for another 100 wins this season or a figure very close to that. Sure, everyone will be gunning for Chicago, but the fact of the matter is that the Cubs are absolutely loaded – everywhere. Pick: Over 95.5 Wins

Indians 92.5

Analysis: The Indians won a surprising 94 games last season and will have a great opportunity to top that mark in 2017 seeing as how they’re young, talented and have one of the best leaders in all of sports in manager Terry Francona. While Cleveland’s AL Central Division rivals will be going all out to deny the Tribe back-to-back division titles, I like the Tribe to reach 93 wins in 2017. Pick: Over 92.5 Wins

Red Sox 90.5

Analysis: The BoSox won 93 games last season and they’ll be very good again in 2017, just not quite as good as they were with David ‘Big Papi’ Ortiz in the middle of their batting order. Right now, I’m thinking Boston narrowly tops their win total odds after picking up gifted hurler Chris Sale in the offseason. Pick: Over 90.5 Wins

Yankees 83.5

Analysis: The New York Yankees won a modest 84 games last season and should be able to reach that figure again in 2017, particularly seeing as how the fan base in the Big Apple is sick and tired of being mediocre also-rans when they’re used to hoisting World Series trophies. Pick: Over 83.5 Wins

Royals 80.5

Analysis: The Royals won 81 games last season after winning it all in 2015, but I think they’re primed for a big-time rebound this season seeing as how they’re still fairly young and have a boatload of talent, both at the plate and on the mound. Maybe it’s me, but I think the Royals are a lock to reach 81 wins in 2017. Pick: Over 80.5 Wins

Phillies 72.5

Analysis: The Phillies won 71 games last season, but I like them to bag at least 75 wins in 2017 as their boatload of young talent starts to pay even bigger dividends than they did in last season’s surprising campaign. Pick: Over 72.5 Wins
