Best MLB Parlay Picks of the Weekend

Best MLB Parlay Picks of the Weekend

Written by on August 12, 2016

For the first time in a little while now, MLB has some competition this weekend, but with the season reaching the stage where every game takes on a high level of importance, there are going to be very few people taking their eyes off the baseball action. As I always do at this point in the week, I am going to look ahead and see if I can pick out a few parlay tickets for the weekend. I will, as always, pick a pair of games from each day, Friday through Sunday, in hopes of putting together a trio of winning tickets. Be sure to keep up with the live odds for all these games, and maybe add a few of your own to the games that I am listing here. There are certainly plenty of good ones to choose from.

Best MLB Parlay Picks of the Weekend

Friday August 12th MLB Parlay Picks

We have an NL East match-up this weekend, as the Atlanta Braves head into Washington to face the Nationals. It’s beginning to look as though the Nationals are not going to get caught atop the division, as their lead has stayed steady at 7.5 games for quite some time now. The Braves are as bad as we all thought they were going to be, and they look to be in very tough on Friday when they have to face Stephen Strasburg (15-2, 2.80 ERA). The Boston Red Sox are still hanging around in the AL East, and are still very much in the Wild Card picture. They need to continue picking up wins, and they have a good opportunity to do so on Friday against an Arizona team that has underwhelmed this season. I like David Price over Patrick Corbin in this pitching match-up, so give the edge to the Red Sox.

Saturday August 13th MLB Parlay Picks

The New York Yankees are still hanging in there in the Wild Card race, but they know that they have to make a move soon if they want to close the 3.5-game gap. They have a shot to do so this weekend against a poor Tampa Bay Rays team, and they should pick up the win on Saturday with Masahiro Tanaka (8-4, 3.32 ERA) on the mound. The New York Mets are sinking like a stone in the NL East, but I like them to get the win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday. Jacob DeGrom is unlucky to be just 7-5 this season, as he has pitched very well, and I just feel that it’s about time some luck went his way.

Sunday August 14th MLB Parlay Picks

Let’s do something a little different with the first of the parlay picks for Sunday. Instead of trying to pick a winner in the game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Milwaukee Brewers, let’s instead put our money on the OVER. Both starting pitchers in this one have inflated ERA’s, which means this thing might get offensive very early. I will finish off my MLB parlay picks for the weekend by playing the final game of the 3-day calendar, which sees the St. Louis Cardinals in Chicago to face the Cubs. The Cubbies come into this weekend on a 10-game winning streak, and just look unbeatable right now. I am taking them to win again.
