Best MLB Picks to Parlay on Last Weekend of 2017 Regular Season

Final MLB Betting Predictions to Close the 2017 Regular Season

Houston Astros (99-60) at Boston Red Sox (92-67)

  • When: Saturday, September 30, 1:05 PM ET
  • Where: Fenway Park
  • TV: FOX

Probable Pitchers

Houston – Lance McCullers – R – (7-3, 4.01 ERA, 126 K)  Lance McCullers has made just two starts since July 30 because of injuries and will be looking to put on a good performance in the hopes of being named one of the postseason hurlers for Houston’s upcoming ALDS. McCullers limited the Los Angeles Angels to two earned runs on four hits in just 3.1 innings on Sunday after giving up three earned runs against Seattle in 5.1 innings in his previous start. Boston – Drew Pomeranz – L – (16-6, 3.38 ERA, 171 K)  Southpaw starter Drew Pomeranz got smacked around for five earned runs on seven hits in just 2.0 innings of a 6-4 loss to Toronto in his last start but limited the opposition to one run or less in each of his previous two starts while tossing at least 6.0 innings both times.

Latest MLB Betting Trends

  • Astros are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games
  • Astros are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Houston’s last 5 games
  • Red Sox are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games
  • Red Sox are 10-4 SU in their last 14 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Boston’s last 5 games

Analysis

The Boston Red Sox are one of the safest MLB Picks to win on Saturday seeing as how they’re playing at home, have the better starting pitcher and more than enough motivation to both, win the AL East title and beat an Astros team they could meet in the postseason. While Houston had won four straight heading into Friday night and Boston had dropped three of its previous four over the same time frame, I like the Sox seeing as how they’ve gone 8-2 in Drew Pomeranz’s previous 10 starts while Houston has gone 1-6 in Lance McCullers’ last seven starts. Be sure to include them in your MLB Picks to parlay. Pick: Boston 5 – Houston 3

Toronto Blue Jays (75-84) at New York Yankees (89-70)

  • When: Saturday, September 30, 1:05 PM ET
  • Where: Yankee Stadium
  • TV: FOX

Probable Pitchers

Toronto – Marcus Stroman – R – (13-8, 3.06 ERA, 162 K) Toronto right-hander Marcus Stroman needs just three innings to reach the magical 200-inning mark and he’ll get it in this contest.  Ironically, his last start on Sunday came against the Yankees as he limited New York to three earned runs on five hits in 5.2 innings of a 9-5 win. New York – Jamie Garcia – L – (5-10, 4.41 ERA, 129 K)  Jamie Garcia was on the mound opposite Stroman last Sunday and got smacked around to the tune of five earned runs on five hits in just 2.1 innings. Prior to that, however, Garcia had not allowed more than one earned run in each of his three previous starts.

Latest MLB Betting Trends

  • Blue Jays are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Blue Jays are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Toronto’s last 6 games
  • Yankees are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games when playing Toronto
  • Yankees are 2-6 SU in their last 8 games when playing Toronto
  • NY Yankees is 6-3 ATS in its last 9 games when playing at home against Toronto
Yankees are one of the safest MLB Picks for this upcoming weekend.

Analysis

With Toronto going 5-2 in Marcus Stroman’s last seven starts against their AL East division rivals, the Jays are looking good. However, with the Yankees going 6-1 in their last seven home games heading into Friday night and still having a shot to tie Boston for the AL East title, include the Yankees as one of your MLB Picks, I like them to win a thriller.  Pick: New York 4 – Toronto 3

Los Angeles Dodgers (102-57) at Colorado Rockies (86-73)

  • When: Saturday, September 30, 8:10 PM ET
  • Where: Coors Field
  • TV: MLB Network

Probable Pitchers

Los Angeles – Clayton Kershaw – L – ( 18-4, 2.21 ERA, 200 K) The Dodgers’ ace won’t pitch in this game very long as he gets set for the playoffs, but he’s coming off an eight-inning outing against San Diego in which he limited the Padres to one run on eight hits while striking out six. Over his last 10 starts, Kershaw has limited the opposition to one run or less a stunning seven times. Colorado – German Marquez – R – (11-7, 4.38 ERA, 145 K) German Marquez was solid in his last start as he limited the Padres to two earned runs on five hits in 5.0 innings, but he’s also just 1-2 with a 5.47 ERA and a season-high 1.74 WHIP in the month of September. Still, Marquez has been mostly phenomenal in his inaugural MLB season.

Latest MLB Betting Trends

  • Dodgers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Dodgers are 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of LA Dodgers’s last 5 games when playing Colorado
  • Rockies are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Rockies are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Colorado’s last 10 games

Analysis

Colorado has a lot to play for as they still hope to nail down a spot in the NL Wild Card. Believe it or not, I’m going to urge you to include the desperate Rockies in your MLB Picks to get the win by getting to the Dodgers relief pitchers after Kershaw departs around the fourth inning I suspect. Colorado has gone a near-perfect 9-1 in German Marquez’ last 10 starts and L.A. is just 1-4 in their last five road games against a right-handed starter. Pick: Colorado 5 – Los Angeles 3
