The pressure is easing off them a little, and they will take a very impressive 38-27 road record into New York for this series versus the Yankees. Making matters worse is the fact that the Mariners are just 13-17 against teams from the East this season. It will be Ariel Miranda (8-6, 4.62 ERA) who starts this one. The Baltimore Orioles have come out of nowhere to haul themselves right back into the playoff picture. They are a game and a half out of the final WC spot, and arrived there courtesy of their current 5-game winning streak. The Orioles have been particularly tough to beat in their own building, going 39-26 to this point in the season. They will send Ubaldo Jimenez (5-9, 6.57 ERA) to the mound for this one.
