It is now the stage of the MLB season where we can start to have a serious conversation about who might have what it takes to go all the way and win the World Series. There are 3 or 4 teams who need to be looked at very seriously, as well as a couple of dark horse teams who could make a run if everything falls into place at just the right time. In the National League, you really need top once again talk about the LA Dodgers, as they have been dominant this season.
This is a team that has been to each of the last two World Series, so they certainly have the experience and pedigree required to make another run, but their series loss to the Atlanta Braves over the weekend shows you that nothing can be taken for granted. The LA Dodgers will start out this week with an interleague home series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Dodgers do not enjoy losing, so they will be all out to erase the bad taste of the loss to the Braves. LA are in as a 1 ½ run favorite, with the run total set at 8 ½.

Why bet on the Toronto Blue Jays?
After a few seasons where they were in playoff contention, the Blue Jays have since cleaned house and committed to a rebuilding process, which looks to still be in its very early stages. Toronto come into this series with a 52-75 record, which is essentially where they were expected to be this season. They do, though, have more wins on the road (27) that they do at home (25), but that means very little when heading into a ballpark that the Dodgers have essentially turned into a fortress.
The Blue Jays ended the weekend on a 2-game losing skid, taking their record over the last 10 games to 5-5. They have struggled badly in interleague play, going just 2-11 SU, so not much to like here. The Blue Jays will hand the ball to Sean Reid-Foley (2-3, 3.00 ERA) for this one.

Why bet on the LA Dodgers?
What can you say about this Dodgers team that hasn’t already been said by countless others? They will be heading into the postseason as one of the favorites to win it all, with home field advantage sure to play a role in their success. While the Dodgers are coming off a rather surprising road trip, where they went 3-3, they are a totally different team in their own ballpark, posting a 48-16 record at Dodger Stadium.
Surprisingly enough, the Dodgers have not been particularly good in interleague play, going just 3-6 SU versus the American League. They have also been a bit of an iffy bet as a home favorite, going 33-31 ATS in those games. They will have Clayton Kershaw (12-2, 2.63 ERA) on the mound on Tuesday night.

Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction for Blue Jays vs Dodgers
Sean Reid-Foley is a young pitching prospect who has made a decent start to his career with the Blue Jays, but he would appear to be seriously outmatched here. I think the Dodgers take out a poor weekend on the Blue Jays in a comfortable win.
