Top MLB Betting Predictions Last Weeks Regular Season
Written by Jordan Walters on August 15, 2017
With about a month and a half to go in the 2017 MLB regular season, it has become very clear who the main contenders are for the World Series. Things can change dramatically during the final few weeks, though, as history has shown us that this is the time when the pressure can suddenly start to become too much for the teams challenging for the playoffs. Rather than looking ahead to the postseason, we thought it would be fun to make a few predictions and review the latest betting odds for the final weeks of the MLB season. Who will rise, which teams will fall, and which players will be looking at major awards once this season is all said and done?
As far as the American League Cy Young award goes, I believe that Chris Sale of the Boston Red Sox is a lock right now. He is currently with the tops in wins, the best ERA, and far and away the most K’s of any other pitcher in the running.
Over in the NL, the top choice would appear to be Clayton Kershaw but I am going with Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals. He has pitched more innings than any of the other contenders, and also has more K’s. He trails Kershaw in ERA, but not by a huge margin.
