The reeling Texas Rangers will look to cool off the red-hot Washington Nationals when the two World Series hopefuls square off in their Interleague matchup on Saturday. If you’re looking to give your annual MLB betting bankroll a big-time boost, then you’re going to love the expert pick on Saturday’s matchup between the Nats and Rangers. For Washington, they had a rescheduled game yesterday against the Baltimore Orioles, which ended in favor of the Nationals.

Saturday MLB Betting Tips & Analysis on Texas at Washington

When: Saturday, June 10, 12:05 PM ET Where: Nationals Park TV: MLBN, WUSA Radio: Texas / Washington Live Stream: MLB.tv Probable Pitchers: Texas Martin Perez – L (2-6, 4.64 ERA) / Washington Gio Gonzalez – L (5-1, 3.03 ERA)

Why Bet the Texas Rangers?

To be honest about it, there really aren’t any good reasons to back the Rangers in this Interleague matchup. Texas has lost four of five heading into Friday night including a narrow 4-3 loss against the Mets on Wednesday and three-game sweep against the incendiary Astros in their previous series.  For this matchup, the Rangers will hand the ball to left-hander Martin Perez, but that doesn’t look like such a good thing seeing as how Perez has gone 0-1 with a 7.80 ERA in his past three starts and is a winless 0-2 with a 4.29 ERA on the road this season.

Why Bet the Washington Nationals?

There are a number of good reasons to back Washington to get the win in this matchup, starting with the fact that they’ve won four of their last five games and a red-hot, eight of 10 overall. Not only that, but southpaw starter Gio Gonzalez has been rock-solid this season and limited the Dodgers to two earned runs on two hits and two walks in 6.0 innings 4-2 win on Monday and has not allowed more than three earned runs in each of his last three starts.

Texas at Washington MLB Betting Score Prediction:  Washington 6 Texas 3

With Texas going 9-18 on the road this season and Washington going 17-9 at home, the outcome of this matchup is as close as it gets to being a lockCombine that with the fact that Martin Perez is an uninspiring 4-16 with a 5.15 ERA in 30 road starts in his career and this game suddenly has the look of a rout just waiting to happen. While Texas ranks a respectable 1oth in scoring (4.7 rpg), the Rangers are ranked just 20th in team ERA (4.40). Conversely, Washington ranks first in scoring (5.5 rpg), second in team batting average (.273) and fifth in team ERA (3.98). The Nats have the look of a team intent of challenging for a berth in the World Series. With Washington going 10-3 in their last 13 home games and Texas going 1-5 in their last six road dates, this one is as close as it gets to a lock!
