Why Bet on the Milwaukee Brewers?
As good as this season has been for the Milwaukee Brewers (33-31), it’s one that has to be put in perspective. Their win percentage is the lowest of all the division leaders in baseball, and if they were to surrender the lead, they might not even be in a Wild Card spot. This is not a time to be negative, though, as this team is performing a whole lot better than anyone expected, and it’s now going to be interesting to see what they do once the trade deadline rolls around. Do they bring in some veteran talent to support their young guys, or do they continue to go with what they have? How they perform against their division rivals may help influence that decision. Jimmy Nelson (4-3, 3.45 ERA) will get the start.
