On Monday, Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals go against their old teammate, John Lackey and the Chicago Cubs. Wainwright is 4-3, and has won four straight starts. Lackey is 4-2 on the season, but was brilliant in his first outing against the Cubs. Look for the St. Louis offense to figure Lackey out a little bit in this one. The bet here is the St. Louis Cardinals +108 over the Chicago Cubs on Monday night. Also on Monday, Gio Gonzalez of the Washington Nationals goes up against the veteran Bartolo Colon of the New York Mets. Gonzalez is 3-2 on the season, with a sparkling 1.86 earned run average. For the Mets, Colon has struggled in his last two starts. Colon is 3-3, and has an ERA which is approaching 4.00 on the season. Look for the home team; the Nationals to use strong starting pitching and beat up a bit on Colon. The bet here is the Washington Nationals -141 over the New York Mets. On Tuesday, it’s one of the easiest bets to make. The Chicago White Sox are at home against the Cleveland Indians. While these two teams are the top two teams in the American League Central, this game features undefeated against undefeated. Josh Tomlin of the Cleveland Indians is 6-0, with a 3.56, while Chris Sale goes for the White Sox. Sale is 9-0, with a 1.58 on the season. Look for Sale to be the first to 10 wins, and also pick up his 10th win. The White Sox roll the Indians on Tuesday. Bet the White Sox -166 over the Cleveland Indians. On Wednesday, it’s David Price of the Boston Red Sox at home against the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies have some offense, even away from Coors Field. But, David Price is starting to get into the groove for Boston. WIth a horrible 5.53 earned run average, look for Price to really show his best stuff in this one. Jon Gray goes for the Rockies, and the Red Sox offense is going to feast. A great bet for this week is the Boston Red Sox -155 over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday. On Thursday, Gerrit Cole and the Pittsburgh Pirates will take on Patrick Corbin and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Cole has thrown the baseball well as of late. He is 5-2, with a 2.79 earned run average on the season. Corbin, who is the Diamondbacks lefthander in the rotation is 2-3 with a 3.90 on the season. This game has the makings of a great start for Gerrit Cole. Look for him to shine, and the Pirates bats knock Corbin out before the fifth inning. The bet for this game is the Pittsburgh Pirates -155 over the Arizona Diamondbacks. There you have it.
