Written by on May 10, 2016

Have you gotten your 2016 MLB regular season wagering campaign off to a bankroll-boosting start? Are you struggling to get back in the black after a difficult start? No matter what the case may be for you, this expert look at the hottest – and coldest – teams in all of baseball heading into Tuesday night’s full slate of action will help you cash in early and often over the course of the remainder of this week at the very least! With that said and tonight’s opening pitches just hours away from being thrown, let’s get started.

Hot and Not Hottest and Coldest MLB Betting Teams

Hot – These teams have all won four of their last five games.

Chicago Cubs 5-0

The Cubbies have won five straight and four straight at home heading into Tuesday’s matchup against San Diego. Just know that it’s kind of hard to lose when you’re ranked first in scoring (6.1 rpg) and first in runs allowed (2.7 rpg) as the revamped and revitalized Cubs are right now.

Tampa Bay 4-1

The Rays had their four-game winning streak snapped in Monday’s 5-2 loss against Seattle and Felix Hernandez, but Tampa Bay has recorded three road wins in their last four games and sits at a respectable 15-15 heading into Tuesday night. The Rays are ranked a stellar fourth in defense, allowing just 3.7 runs per game and identical fourth in team ERA (3.56).

Arizona 4-1

The D-Back are riding a four-game winning streak into Tuesday matchup against Colorado while scoring at least four runs in each contest. Arizona is ranked an impressive sixth in scoring (4.6 rpg) and solid 11th in runs allowed (5.0).

Chicago White Sox 4-1

The ChiSox are pushing the Cubs as hard as they can for the bragging rights to Chicago baseball and they’ve managed to win four consecutive games heading into Tuesday night’s road date at Texas.

Not – These teams have all dropped at least four of their last five games.

Minnesota 0-5

The Twins have dropped five in a row and are ranked a modest 14th in scoring (3.4 rpg) and 15th in runs allowed (5.2 rpg). Maybe it’s me but I sue do miss the good old days when Kirby Puckett was roaming centerfield for the World Series-winning Twins back in the day!

Detroit 0-5

The Tigers are scoring plenty of runs as they rank fifth in runs per game (4.4). Unfortunately Detroit is allowing 4.7 runs per night to rank 14th in that category.

LA Angels 1-4

The Halos play in beautiful Southern California, have arguably the game’s best player in Mike Trout and another pillar in veteran Albert Pujols. The Angles rank a solid eighth in runs allowed (4.1) but have had their struggles scoring runs as they put up just 3.5 runs per contest (12th).

Oakland 1-4

The A’s have lost three straight and four of five while allowing at least a whopping nine runs in three of those losses, including their 14-7 beatdown at the hands of Boston on Monday.

Kansas City 1-4

The defending champion Royals have lost two straight and four of their last five games overall and are ranked just 15th in scoring (3.4 rpg) though they are ranked a stellar seventh in runs allowed (3.9) and eighth in team ERA (3.88).

Atlanta 1-4

The Braves (7-23) are a complete and utter mess! Atlanta has dropped four straight heading into Tuesday night while getting outscored 24-7 over the four-game span.

Washington 1-4

The Nats snapped a four-game skid by beating Detroit 5-4 on Monday night. Washington ranks ninth in runs per game (4.4), an impressive third in runs allowed (3.1 rpg) and identical third in team ERA (2.84). So there you have it…the hottest and coldest teams in all of baseball. Now, take this knowledge and use it all week in an effort to cash in fast and furiously!
