Winning MLB SU Picks Weekend Action – August 13th
San Diego Padres (50-64) at Los Angeles Dodgers (81-33)
When: Saturday, August 12, 9:10 PM ET Where: Dodger Stadium TV: FSSD Probable Pitchers: San Diego – Jhoulys Chacin – R (11-8, 4.15 ERA) / LA Dodgers – Hyun-Jin Ryu – L (4-6, 3.53 ERA) Analysis: Heading into Friday night, the incendiary Dodgers had won two straight and eight of their last 10 games while San Diego had dropped two straight and seven of their last 10. San Diego right-hander Jhoulys Chacin was smacked around in his last start as he gave up five runs on five hits (including two homers) in six innings of an 11-3 loss to Cincinnati. Making matters worse is the fact that he got pounded for nine runs against who else? The Dodgers, on Opening Day. Hyun-Jin Ryu has not allowed a single run over his last two starts, a pair of seven inning outings against the Giants and Mets after limiting the opposition to an identical two earned runs in each of his previous four starts. While San Diego has gone 6-1 in Jhoulys Chacin’s last seven starts, the Padres are also just 1-4 in their last five games while L.A. has compiled a mind-boggling 46-8 record over their last 54 games while going 4-0 in Hyun-Jin Ryu’s last four home starts and 6-1 in his last seven starts overall. With the Padres going 18-39 in their last 57 road dates against their longtime rivals, I say keep it simple and back the Dodgers to roll!Latest MLB Betting Trends

Cleveland Indians (60-52) at Tampa Bay Rays (59-57)
When: Sunday, August 13, 1:10 PM ET Where: Tropicana Field TV: TBS Probable Pitchers: Cleveland – Corey Kluber – R (10-3, 2.65 ERA) / Tampa Bay – Austin Pruitt – R (6-3, 5.14 ERA) Analysis: Tampa Bay recorded a win in their last contest to improve to 5-5 over their last 10 games while Cleveland lost two straight and a whopping seven of their last 10 games heading into Friday night. Cleveland staff ace Corey Kluber tossed his second consecutive complete game and limited Colorado to one run on three hits with no walks and 11 strikeouts on Tuesday. Kluber has now struck out 11 or more in five consecutive starts. Tampa Bay right-hander Austin Pruitt tossed his second straight gem by limiting Boston to one run on seven hits in six innings on Tuesday despite getting the short end of the stick in a 2-0 loss. While Austin Pruitt has been nothing short of outstanding for Tampa Bay this season, it’s kind of hard to go against the Indians in this contest – or any contest – when Corey Kluber is on the mound throwing complete games. The Indians are 7-1 in their last 8 road games, 7-3 in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 11-5 in their last 16 games overall. While Tampa Bay has gone 4-1 in their last five games against a team with a winning record, again, I can’t bring myself to go against Corey Kluber and the Cleveland Indians and you shouldn’t either!Latest MLB Betting Trends

Updated 2017 MLB Postseason Predictions After Trade Deadline
Minnesota Twins (57-56) at Detroit Tigers (52-62)
When: Sunday, August 13, 1:10 PM ET Where: Comerica Park TV: FS-NO, FS-D Probable Pitchers: Minnesota – Ervin Santana – R (12-7, 3.27 ERA) / Detroit – Matthew Boyd – L (5-6, 5.64 ERA) Analysis: Minnesota veteran right-hander Ervin Santana will get an extra day of rest after limiting Milwaukee to just two runs over six innings on Monday despite getting a no-decision. Santana has not allowed more than two earned runs in each of his last two starts following a rough two-start stretch in his previous two games. Detroit lefty Matthew Boyd will make just his second home start since rejoining the Tigers rotation after the annual All-Star break. Boyd got smacked around in his last start by giving up five runs on nine hits in just four innings of a 6-3 loss to Pittsburgh the last time out. The Twins are 5-1 in their last six games against their AL Central division rivals while Detroit is mired in a discouraging 3-9 funk over their last 12 games. Take the playoff-hopeful twins to win outright behind another solid start from Ervin Santana.Latest MLB Betting Trends
