The weekend is upon us, and that means another full slate of MLB betting action to look forward to. With so many games going on over the next three days, it can be tough to narrow down which games to wager on. I usually try to go with 2 or 3 games each day, with each one I pick being based on my level of confidence in that selection. I also like to keep it simple, which means sticking with straight up picks. Sure, I may not make as much, but I can still add a few bucks to my bankroll over the course of the weekend. I have my picks made for the next 3 days, so let’s get to them.

MLB SU Picks for Friday, June 23

The Washington Nationals he cooled off a little, and have been playing .500 ball over the last 10 games. That is a good way off the pace they have been setting this season, but you still have to like their chances against a Cincinnati Reds team that is just 1-9 in their last 10. Furthermore, the Reds are just 11-23 on the road this season, so heading into Nationals Park is not a trip that they are likely looking forward to. It has taken some time, but the Cleveland Indians have finally hit their stride. They have opened up a 2.5 game lead on the Minnesota Twins at the top of the AL Central, and will have a chance to build on that when they welcome in the Twins this weekend. The Indians are 8-2 in their last 10 games, and I like them to keep rolling on Friday night. Don’t look no, but the Tampa Bay Rays are suddenly in the mix atop the NL East. They are within 2.5 games of the lead, and have a weekend series against the struggling Baltimore Orioles on tap. I like the Rays to come away with the win in the Friday night tilt.

MLB Betting SU Picks for Saturday, June 24

We all keep waiting for the Chicago Cubs to get back to their stunning form of last season, and while they have yet to do it, this team is just too talented to continue treading water the way they are now. They have a series in Miami versus the Marlins this weekend, and I think the Cubs can outgun the Marlins in this one, especially in the Saturday meeting. The Arizona Diamondbacks have been red hot over the past couple of weeks, going 9-1 in their last 10 games, which is a run that now has them just a game and a half back of the LA Dodgers at the top of the NL West. They have what looks to be a very manageable series against the Phillies this weekend, and it’s one that has sweep written all over it, especially since the Phillies only have 2 wins in their last 10 games.

MLB SU Picks for Sunday, June 25

The New York Yankees appear to have lost some of their swagger from earlier in the season, and are now tied with the Boston Red Sox for the lead in the AL East. The Yankees are just 2-8 in their last 10 games, but this does feel like a momentary slump. They are still very good at home, and will be hosting a Texas Rangers team on Sunday that is just 14-19 on the road. Let’s take the Yankees for the win.

The LA Dodgers are really starting to roll now, and have 9 wins in their last 10 games, which has vaulted them to the top of the NL West. They have what looks to be an exciting weekend series versus the Colorado Rockies, a team who are in the fight for that top spot in the division. This should be a close series, but I like the Dodgers to use home field advantage to come away with the win on Sunday.
