There is a lot of fight action to look forward to this weekend, but if you have UFC Fight Pass in your home, you might consider taking in the LFA 105 event on Friday night. This one, which will be held in Oklahoma, starts at 9 PM EST and has a pretty full main card, with no less than 6 fights set to go. We have a lot of ground to cover here, so let’s jump right in with the previews and predictions for LFA 105: Rodriguez Vs Gotsyk. That being said, let’s get right to it so you can make your bets against their MMA odds.
MMA Betting Preview for LFA 105: Rodriguez Vs Gotsyk
Zac Pauga -800 Vs Logan Nail +500
The main card gets underway with a Light Heavyweight bout between a pair of fighters in the very early stages of their pro careers. Pauga began life in the LFA with a hard-fought unanimous decision in his first fight and followed that up with an impressive opening round win last time out. Nail has jumped around different organizations for his first 3 fights, going 2-1 thus far. I think this one is over rather quickly, as I like Pauga to win by KO.
Renato Valente +220 Vs Mark Martin -300
The Welterweights are up next, with both of the fighters in this one looking to maintain their current good form. Valente had a little bit of a hiccup on his way to a 7-3 record, but he comes into this fight on the heels of a 2-fight win streak. After a wobbly 1-1 start to his pro career, Martin has put it all together and reeled off 4 straight wins. I think he keeps that streak alive with a win here, although he may need to go the distance to do it.
Bruce Souto -300 Vs Cristhian Torres +220
The next fight on the main card is another Light Heavyweight bout and one that looks to be very intriguing indeed. Souto, who is 13-3 overall, comes into this fight on a fantastic run of form, winning each of his last 7 fights. He will have a tough time against Torres, a fighter with a ton of experience, but one who is having a rough patch, losing 2 of his last 3. This one might also go the distance, with Souto getting the win.
Tabitha Ricci -2000 Vs Shawna Ormsby +900
It is the women who are up next for a Strawweight bout that has the potential to be over before it really gets started. Ricci comes into this bout with a perfect 4-0 career mark and a pair of wins with the LFA, the latest of which came in the first round. It has been an up and down start to life as a pro for Ormsby, who has gone 2-3 through her first 5 fights. I don’t see Ricci having much trouble getting the submission win quickly.
Jake Childers -140 Vs Canaan Kawaihae +110
The co-main event of the night is a Featherweight bout between a pair of up and coming fighters in the division. Childers will be looking to bounce back here after taking the first loss of his career last time out to fall to 8-1. Kawaihae had a similar experience, losing his first a couple of fights ago, although he did manage to recover and win last time out. This has all the makings of a very good fight, with the slight edge going to Childers.
Pierangela Rodriguez Giunta +200 Vs Svetlana Gotsyk -250
By the time this headline bout comes to an end, one of these women will be holding the vacant Strawweight title. Giunta got to this point quickly, getting a title shot after just 5 pro fights, all of which were wins, with only 1 going the distance. Gotsyk has more experience and comes in with a 13-4 record, which includes 3 straight wins and 10 wins in her last 11 fights. I think experience rules here, so I am taking Gotsyk to win by submission.
