MotoGP – Gran Premio GoPro de Aragón Odds, Top 3 to Win, Final Pick

With 8 races to come in the 2024 MotoGP season, I think it’s fair to suggest that we are in for a thrilling finish.

It does seem as though we are heading toward a 2-horse race for the World Championship, with the top 2 riders separated by just 5 points.

MotoGP Betting Favorites at Gran Premio GoPro de Aragón
1. Francesco Bagnaia | 275 points
2. Jorge Martin | 270 points
3. Enea Bastianini | 214 points
4. Marc Marquez | 192 points

My Analysis of the Gran Premio GoPro de Aragón

That said, 9 races are more than enough for one of the chasing pack to go on a run and take a crack at winning it all.

It is going to be tough to make that happen given how good the top 2 have been this season, but every race is a new opportunity to get hot and move up the standings.

The next shot comes this weekend with the running of the Gran Premio GoPro de Aragon, so let’s take a look at the riders who could be in the hunt for this one.

Francesco Bagnaia

Bagnaia came into this season looking for his 3rd straight world championship win, and to this point, he is very much on track to deliver the three-peat.

That said, as we mentioned earlier, his current lead is just 5 points, but he certainly has the hot hand at the moment, winning 5 of the last 6 races.

If he can continue that type of form, he is going to be impossible to move out of the top spot.

There was no Aragon Grand Prix last season, but in the 2 years prior, Bagnaia had a 1st and 2nd place finish in this race, so he seems like the obvious choice again this weekend.

Jorge Martin

It was a fast start to the season for Martin, who won a couple of races in the early going.

While he has still been consistent over the past couple of months, the wins have escaped him.

He has, though, been on the podium in 6 of the last 7 races, so he is always worth a look as a potential top 3 finisher.

A win could potentially put him back on top of the standings, but he has not been great in this race.

That said, this is a breakout season for Martin, so I would definitely play him in the top 3.

Enea Bastianini

As mentioned at the top of this piece, the top 2 racers seem to be pulling away, but their lead is not totally insurmountable.

Bastianini is on 214 points, which has him 61 points out of the lead, so while he could still close that gap, he needs to start winning right away.

Enea does have 1 win this season and has been on the podium in 4 of the last 5 races, so he does have the ability to get on a hot streak.

He won this race in 2022, so he might be worth a look.

Marc Marquez

It has been great to see former champion, Marc Marquez, back on the track this season after a couple of years dealing with various injuries.

He is not quite back to the level he was at when he dominated this sport, and he is still looking for his first win of the season.

Marquez has been outside the top 3 in each of the last 2 races, so he is not an obvious top 3 play this weekend, although I think he might be wroth taking a risk on.
