The return to action in NASCAR has proven to be a real treat for fans, as we have seen a lot of races wedged into a very short period of time. We had another midweek race go on Wednesday, with the All-Star Race run at Bristol Speedway. Chase Elliott walked away with the million dollars in prize money, but it was seeing fans in attendance that made this event really stand out. There was no official head count delivered, but it looked as though there were about 20,000 fans in attendance, all of whom seemed to be delighted to be at a live sporting event for the first time in forever. We should return to the no fans policy in Texas this weekend, where we will see the Xfinity Series continue with the My Bariatric Solutions 300. There is a very clear favorite for this race, but let’s take a closer look at some of the top contenders so you can plan ahead your bets against their NASCAR odds.
NASCAR Xfinity Series – My Bariatric Solutions 300
Kyle Busch (-150)
The drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series are allowed to race in the Xfinity Series and the Truck Series, albeit a limited number of times per season. They do not count their points in the drive standings, which is probably a good thing for the other drivers in this series, as Kyle Busch is outstanding when racing in this series. He has 97 career wins in the Xfinity Series and has won this particular race 6 times over the years, including winning it in 2019. There is a reason why he is in as the clear favorite and why he will likely win it again.
Chase Briscoe (+550)
While Busch looks like a very good bet to win here, we also have to remember that anything can happen in any given race, and that there are very capable drivers who can beat him. Chase Briscoe needs to be counted among those drivers, as he is your current leader at the top of the Xfinity Series driver standings, taking 5 wins from 15 races. He has also landed in the top 10 in 12 of the 15 races run this season, so he has been amazingly consistent. Briscoe has had 2 career runs at Texas, with his 4th place finish last season being his best showing.
Austin Cindric (+600)
There is no other driver who can come close to Briscoe in terms of races won this season, but that does not discount the fact that Cindric is having a sold year. He already has a pair of wins under his belt and has 9 top 5 finishes through the first 15 races. That is good enough to put him in 3rd in the driver standings in the Xfinity Series. He has had 3 career races at Texas Motor Speedway and has finished in the top 10 in 2 of them. He has to be considered a threat here.
Noah Gragson (+1400)
If you think that Kyle Busch is beatable this weekend, then you have a real shot at cashing a very nice winning ticket if you can land the winner. Gragson is in second in the driver standings with 2 wins and 11 top 10 finishes in 15 races, but he has very little in the way of experience at this track. He did not race there in his first season in this series, but he ran last year and ended up finishing 11th. I think he will do better than that this time around, but I do not see him winning.
