Okay, with a bunch of legitimate challengers lurking for the win, let’s get to my top five picks to win the 2020 Pocono Organics 325.

No. 5  – Kurt Busch

Busch is in 10th place in the NASCAR standings with nine Top-10 finishes and three Top-5 finishes in 13 starts this season. While he’s still in search of his first victory of the season, Busch does have a whopping 20 Top-10 finishes in 37 career starts at Pocono to go with 14 Top-5 finishes and three wins. Yes, Busch has finished outside the Top 10 in four of his last five appearances at Pocono, but that’s why he’s my No. 5 longshot pick to win the 2020 Pocono 325.

No. 4  – Ryan Blaney

Currently an impressive third in the standings, Blaney has seven Top-10 finishes and an identical seven Top-5 finishes in 13 starts while winning at Talladega this past weekend. More importantly, he’s consistently been on fire the last four weeks, finishing inside the Top 5 each time, including second at Martinsville and third at Homestead. In eight career starts at Pocono, Blaney has four Top-10 finishes, one Top-5 finish and a win in the 2017 Pocono 400, making the red-hot driver my No. 4 pick to win the 2020 Pocono Organics 325.

No. 3 – Martin Truex Jr.

Currently seventh in the NASCAR standings, Truex Jr. has recorded six Top-10 finishes in 13 starts this season to go with a pair of Top-5 finishes and a win at Martinsville on June 10. For his career, Truex Jr. has racked up 11 Top-10 finishes at Pocono in 28 career starts while recording six Top-5 finishes and wins on this track in 2015 and 2018. With four top-six finishes in his last six appearances at the Tricky Triangle, Truex Jr. is my No. 2 pick to win!

No. 2 – Denny Hamlin

Currently sixth in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, Hamlin has eight Top-10 finishes in 13 starts to go with seven Top-5 finishes and three wins, most recently, two weeks ago in Miami. Hamlin won the Gander 400 at Pocono last fall and has recorded an impressive 18 Top-10 finishes in 28 career starts at Pocono while recording 11 Top-5 finishes and five career wins at the iconic track.

No. 1 – Kyle Busch

Busch is currently in a modest ninth place in the standings with seven Top-10 finishes and six Top-5 finishes. While he’s still winless 13 races into the 2020 campaign, he’s also has some outstanding success at Pocono in recent years. Since the fall race of 2016, the Pennsylvania 400, Busch has recorded a stellar seven straight Top-10 finishes at Pocono Raceway while racking up a trio of wins in the last five races alone. In 30 career starts at Pocono, Busch has 15 Top-10 finishes, eight Top-5 finishes and the aforementioned three wins, one of which came in last year’s Pocono 400.
