2017 NBA Future Odds That You Can Still Bet On

Written by on March 31, 2017

With the 2016-17 NBA regular season winding down, basketball betting enthusiasts everywhere should know that there’s still time to cash in on some value-packed NBA futures odds centered on both conference championship winners and the overall league champion.

Thanks to the expert betting analysis that you’re about to get, you’re going to have a great idea of just which teams are offering the best value as far as their conference and NBA Finals championship odds are concerned. Now, let’s get started.

2017 NBA Future Odds That You Can Still Bet On

Eastern Conference Championship

Cleveland Cavaliers                5/16
Boston Celtics                          4/1
Washington Wizards              10/1
Toronto Raptors                      18/1

Analysis: The Cleveland Cavaliers may be mired in a nasty funk right now, but, until I see it, I’ve got to believe that LeBron James and company will find a way to get it together before the end of the regular season. Still, the Cavs look like they could be beaten out by one of the other top three teams in the Eastern Conference.

While Boston is virtually neck and neck with Cleveland in the standings, right now, I’m thinking John Wall and the Washington Wizards are looking very dangerous and are offering great odds as a 10/1 pick. No matter which team challenges them, the Cavs look vulnerable.

Western Conference Championship

Golden State Warriors            5/13
San Antonio Spurs                    4/1
Houston Rockets                       8/1
Utah Jazz                                    30/1
Los Angeles Clippers                35/1b
Memphis Grizzlies                   75/1
Oklahoma City Thunder          75/1

Analysis: The Golden State Warriors looked mostly phenomenal in recording consecutive wins over Houston and San Antonio and now have the look of a team that will not be denied a third straight appearance in the NBA Finals.

Sure, the Spurs and Rockets will challenge the Dubs first and foremost, but I’m thinking the Clippers and Thunder could make things interesting against anyone even if neither ballclub is a legitimate NBA finalist. My pick to dethrone the Warriors is a dangerous Rockets team that can score the ball just as well as Golden State, even if their defense is clearly lacking.

Odds to win the 2016-17 NBA Finals

Golden State Warriors           5/9 Cleveland Cavaliers                 13/5 San Antonio Spurs                   10/1 Houston Rockets                      20/1 Boston Celtics                           30/1 Washington Wizards               50/1 Los Angeles Clippers               70/1 Toronto Raptors                       70/1 Utah Jazz                                    70/1 Memphis Grizzlies                   150/1 Oklahoma City Thunder          150/1

Analysis: While it sure would be nice to cash in on some value-packed finals odds that teams like Houston, Boston, Washington and the L.A. Clippers are offering, he smart pick here is for Golden State.

The Warriors are clearly playing their best basketball of the season right now and they’ll only get more dangerous with Kevin Durant’s return looming. Whether you love the Dubs or hate their collection of all-stars, the fact of the matter is that they can score the ball in their collective sleep and may not have a ‘real’ NBA Finals showdown this postseason with the way Cleveland is playing right now.

However, if the Boston Celtics find a way to win the Eastern Conference, I believe they could give the Warriors a really hard way to go since they are the only team in the league that seems to have the Warriors’ number these days.
