NBA 2020 Rumors & Betting News December 31st Edition

Written by on December 31, 2020

With the 2020-21 NBA regular season just over a week old and a full slate of action going down this weekend, it’s time to find out which rumors are making the latest rounds. Let’s get started with the league’s top rumor-maker right now, Houston superstar shooting guard James Harden so you get all set to make your bets against our NBA odds.

NBA Rumors Making the Rounds!

Philadelphia Freedom!

The Philadelphia 76ers are on James Harden’s short list of teams he’d like to play for. While Philly GM Daryl Morey is quite fond of Harden following their time together in Houston, recent reports say the Sixers are in wait and see mode as they want to give their current roster time together before making a move. For me, I just won’t be surprised to see the Sixers go after Harden – although I wouldn’t do it if I were Daryl Morey.

Don’t Do It Part II

The Denver Nuggets are looking to take another step forward after reaching the Western Conference Finals last season. Recent reports say Denver is interested in acquiring Harden, but I’m going to take a wait and see approach. Personally, I wouldn’t pull the trigger on any deal for Harden if I were the Nuggets, but hey, that’s just me!

D’Antoni Squashes Harden to Nets Talk!

A recent reports says now, Brooklyn assistant Mike D’Antoni helped the Nets to move past their rumored desire to add Harden to a team that already includes Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. After coaching the enigmatic Beard for four seasons in Houston, D’Antoni apparently has had enough of Harden’s antics.

Warriors Want Siakim?

A new report says the Golden State Warriors could be in pursuit of Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakim. The rumored deal has the Dubs sending Draymond Green, Eric Paschall and Minnesota’s 2021 first round pick to the Raptors for Siakim who made his first all-star team just last season.

Getting Sensitive!

The NBA has been, by far, the best league in the world when it comes to dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Now, a new report says the NBA is set to roll with a new and improved contact tracing program. Under the new plan, every player in the league and many team staffers will be required to wear sensor devices during all team-organized activities outside of games starting Jan. 7. The sensors do not record GPS location and will activate when coming within close proximity with anyone else wearing a bracelet.

Nets To Sign Crawford?

A recent report says the Brooklyn Nets are set to sign veteran Jamal Crawford after watching backup point guard Spencer Dinwiddie lost for the season earlier this week. Maybe it’s me, but I’d like nothing better than to see the sweet-shooting 20-year veteran back in the league!

Say It Ain’t So!

Longtime NBA executive Donnie Walsh is stepping down from his position as a consultant for the Indiana Pacers. Walsh confirmed the news with the The Indianapolis Star.

“I’m getting older and don’t have the energy,” said the 79-year-old Walsh.“It’s a young man’s sport. This job has always occupied a great deal of my time. The Pacers were always in my head. This gives me an opportunity to pay attention to my children, my grandchildren and my wife (Judy) of 58 years.”
