NBA 2020 Rumors & Betting News November 2nd Edition

Written by on November 2, 2020

Okay MyBookie roundball betting faithful, with the start of the 2020 NBA draft ad free agent signing period quickly approaching, the NBA trade rumor mill is heating up faster than a polar ice cap. With that thought in mind and the start of the 2020-21 NBA regular season a lot closer to getting started than you can imagine, let’s take a look at some of the most intriguing rumors currently making the rounds so you can prepare your bets and place them against their NBA odds for the upcoming season.

NBA Betting Rumors and News for the Upcoming 2020-21 Season

Ben Simmons for James Harden

In this rumored trade, the Philadelphia 76ers would part ways with power forward-sized point guard Ben Simmons and a couple of other players in exchange for Rockets superstar combo guard James Harden. This rumor might sound juicy, but the Rockets have quickly dismissed it by saying that Harden is pretty much unavailable – for anyone!

Ben Simmons And Al Horford To Golden State For Andrew Wiggins And No. 2 Pick

This trade would send Simmons and Al Horford to the Bay area in exchange for Golden State’s Andrew Wiggins, the No. 2 pick overall pick in the draft and a couple of other players. While we are still a bit too far out from the draft and free agency to actually know if this rumored deal has any truth to it, the fact that we keep hearing about Golden State moving Wiggins and Philly possibly moving Simmons, must mean something right?

Kelly Oubre to Golden State

The 24-year-old Kelly Oubre put up an impressive 18.7 points per game while shooting 35.2 percent from three-point distance for a young Phoenix Suns team that starred when it got to the Orlando Bubble. The Dubs could try to use their $17.2 million trade exception, but the Suns might want more than that for the still-blossoming Oubre. The Warriors could trade their No. 2 pick to Phoenix for the Suns’ No. 10 pick in some sort of deal, but right now, Oubre to the Dubs keeps coming up. Could this be a case of ‘where there’s smoke, there’s fire?’ We shall see MyBookie NBA basketball betting nation.

CP3 To Beantown for Kemba?

The Boston Celtics have an all-star point guard in Kemba Walker, but there’s a new rumor that say the C’s could move the lightning fast star for future Hall of Fame floor leader Chris Paul. Sure, Paul would bring more leadership to Boston’s mostly young locker room, but he’s much older than Walker and Boston needs frontcourt help first and foremost, so I don’t see it happening.

Beyer Joining SVG in N.O.

According to recent reports, Sacramento assistant coach Bob Beyer is joining Stan Van Gundy’s coaching staff in New Orleans. Maybe it’s me, but I’d do anything to get out of Sacramento and apparently, Beyer feels the same way.

Nate McMillan Could Land With Hawks

Former Indiana Pacers head coach Nate McMillan is a candidate to join the Atlanta Hawks as an assistant under Lloyd Pierce after the Pacers foolishly let him go following the completion of the 2019-20 season.

Dame Time By The Bay?

There’s another recent rumor that almost surely won’t happen, even if it does have the rumor mill all giddy. Imagine the Golden State Warriors adding Portland Trail Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard to a backcourt that already features Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

In this rumored deal, the Dubs would get Lillard and veteran forward Trevor Ariza while the Blazers would get back Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Eric Paschall, Kevon Looney, No. 2 pick in this year’s draft, a 2021 first-round pick (top-three protected via Minnesota) and a 2021 first-round pick (top-three protected). While I think this rumored trade is a real longshot, there are just too many options on the table for Golden State to not make a move prior to the draft.

Goebert to Boston?

There’s another rumor going around that says the Boston Celtics could be going after Utah Jazz center Rudy Goebert in exchange for forward Gordon Hayward, center Enes Kanter and Boston’s 14th overall pick. While this trade makes sense for both teams involved, one has to wonder how Gordon will be received in Utah after he jilted the Jazz by leaving for Boston when he last entered free agency.

KLow7, CP 3 or Victor Oladipo?

The Milwaukee Bucks are rumored to be in favor of going after either Kyle Lowry, Chris Paul or Victor Oladipo once free agency begins. Stay tuned for what transpires in Milwaukee as the Bucks desperately try to hold on to two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
