Okay MyBookie NBA basketball betting nation, the 2020 NBA Draft will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The start of free agency is scheduled to get underway at an undetermined time shortly thereafter. With both events getting closer by the day, trade and free agency rumors are flying fast and furious from one coast to the other. With the start of a new week at hand, let’s take a look at some of the juiciest rumors currently making the rounds so you can start preparing your bets against their NBA odds for the next season.

NBA Betting Rumors and News for the Upcoming 2020-21 Season

Westbrook For Embiid

There’s a rumored deal that say Houston would part ways with Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon, Robert Covington and Danuel House for Philadelphia all-star center Joel Embiid, and wily veteran big man Al Horford. For me, this trade favors Houston in a big way seeing as how the Rockets would pair the gifted all-star with shooting guard James Harden.

This rumored deal would give Houston the frontcourt height and inside presence they clearly need to get the now, dominant big-men in the Western Conference, first and foremost, Nuggets all-star center Nikola Jokic and Lakers power forward Anthony Davis, among others. Philly would get back an all-star in Russell Westbrook, a very effective player in former Sixer Robert Covington, a sweet-shooting sniper in Eric Gordon and a blossoming frontcourt performer in young Danuel House. I personally don’t like this deal for the Sixers, seeing as how I’m not a big believer in Russell Westbrook. If Doc Rivers believes the Ben Simmons and Embiid pairing doesn’t work, he could very well suggest moving Embiid, though I definitely wouldn’t trade arguably the best center in the game today.

Jeremy Lin to Golden State Warriors

The last time veteran point guard Jeremy Lin played in the NBA was during the 2018-19 season. Lin averaged 10.7 points per game for Atlanta while shooting 34.7 percent from three. Still, the Hawks waived Lin after trade deadline before he was picked up by Toronto. Lin managed to win an NBA title that season with the Kawhi Leonard-led Raptors to become the first Asian-American player to win an NBA championship, but he rarely saw time on the floor. Lin, then left the NBA to play in China and now, reports say he could come back to the league to join Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in Golden State. Lin, who put up 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists in Beijing, would be a perfect compliment to the pair as he could spell either superstar for short stretches.

Madness in Milwaukee

The Bucks are trying to do everything in their collective power to convince reigning two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to re-sign as he’s scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following the upcoming 2020-21 season. That basically means surrounding him with more talent than the team has put around him the last two seasons.

There are a bunch of rumors flying around involving the Bucks and the latest says Milwaukee could try to land New Orleans Pelicans sniper J.J. Redick, who probably wants to play for a contender after missing the playoffs for the first time in his career last season. Milwaukee would reportedly part ways with the No. 24 overall Pick, D.J. Wilson and Ersan Ilyasova for Redick.

There’s also the incessant rumor that the Bucks will try to land veteran point guard Chris Paul who is definitely done in Oklahoma City after he mostly jaw-dropping campaign with the Thunder. With Paul set to make over $41 million this coming season, it’s going to take a ton of work to find a deal that matches salaries.

CP3 Back To L.A?

There’s a new rumor that say the L.A. Clippers could try to re-acquire CP3 in order to give Kawhi Leonard the offensive-minded point guard that he reportedly wants. In this rumored deal, the Clippers would get Paul while Oklahoma City would get back Patrick Beverly, Lou Williams, Rodney McGruder, Terance Mann and JaMychal Green.

Los Angeles Clippers Upgrade At Guard With Derrick Rose

There’s another rumor going around that say the Clippers would love to land veteran point guard Derrick Rose from the Detroit Pistons after Rose put up a stunning 18.1 points and 5.6 assists per game this past season. Landing Rose would certainly require L.A. giving up less than it would have to to get CP3, so stay tuned in on this rumored deal.

Boston Celtics Add Size With Andre Drummond

The Celtics have one of the most impressive collections of young talent of any team in the league, but what the C’s clearly need is size and rebounding in the frontcourt. There’s a new rumor that says Boston could be going after Cleveland Cavaliers center Andre Drummond who has a $28.7 million player option to return to the Cavs next season and that’s a lot of money to leave on the table. Still, Drummond probably wants to play for a contender at this point of his career. With a career average of 13.8 rebounds per game, Drummond would definitely cure Boston’s rebounding woes.

Three-Team Deal In The Works?

There’s a three-team deal between the Nets, Pelicans and Pacers that is rumored to be in the works. The Nets would get J.J. Redick, Jrue Holiday, Doug McDermott and New Orleans’ 13th overall pick. The Pacers would get Spencer Dinwiddie and Joe Harris via a sign-and-trade deal while New Orleans would receive big man Myles Turner and clearly gifted small forward Caris LeVert.

B-Rad on The Move?

Last, but not least, there’s another recent rumor that has the Los Angeles Lakers acquiring Washington Wizards star shooting guard Bradley Beal in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, Alex Caruso, Quinn Cook and L.A.’s first round draft pick. Stay tuned to see if this blockbuster actually happens or not.
