NBA 2021 Regular Season MVP Odds Update Dec. 31st

Written by on December 31, 2020

With the NBA season underway, it’s time to look at the early odds for the league MVP award. Let’s take a look at the NBA Regular Season MVP odds and break down some of the favorites to take home the hardware at the end of the season.

NBA Updated 2021 Regular Season MVP Odds

Luka Doncic +300

The Mavs superstar is the favorite to win this year’s award. The triple-double machine carried the Mavericks in last year’s playoffs, and he’s looking to do the same this season. Dallas has improved it’s roster, and if Kristaps Porzingis can return from injuries, the Mavs can make a postseason run.

Stephen Curry +550

Any hope that the Warriors have of making a postseason run falls on the shoulders of Curry. The season hasn’t started off well for the Warriors, but Draymond Green has yet to play. Without Klay Thompson, it’s up to Curry to carry the Warriors. If he can get them into the playoffs, he’ll have to be considered for the MVP award.

Giannis Antetokounmpo +650

The reigning league MVP is in a great spot to win this year’s award as well. The Bucks have made improvements to their roster, and Antetokounmpo has worked on his perimeter game. If the Bucks have another successful season, he’ll be a front runner for the award.

Anthony Davis +900

With LeBron James aging, and more than likely taking some games off this season, the Lakers are looking for more from Anthony Davis. He has the ability to dominate on both ends of the floor. He’s a matchup nightmare for his opponents.

LeBron James +900

James will once again lead the Lakers. When he’s on the floor, he can do so many things. James won’t be looked upon to score as much this season, as the Lakers have brought in some new weapons. James can still dominate the floor when he needs to.

Kevin Durant +900

No one was sure how Durant would rebound from his torn achilles, but if his first few games are an indicator, he’ll be just fine. Durant has looked like his old self, and he and the Nets have gotten off to a good start. Durant has played well on both ends of the floor. If the Nets continue to win, look for his odds to get better.

Jayson Tatum +1200

It’s time for Tatum to lead the Celtics. The young superstar has risen up, and has become one of the top players in the league. Boston will be dependent upon Tatum to carry the load. With the loss of Gordon Hayward, and Kemba Walker out injured, it’s up to Tatum.

James Harden +1400

Harden is arguably the best scorer in the league. Even though he’s surrounded by off-court issues, and the fact that he wants out of Houston, Harden is still a force to be reckoned with. He has shown the ability to single-handedly carry a team. If Harden is still a Rocket at the end of the season, and he leads them into the playoffs, he’ll be worthy of some MVP recognition.
