Cash In On Top NBA Parlay Picks Of The Week (Jan. 10th – Jan. 13th)

Written by on January 10, 2017

The red-hot Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers will both look to stay hot in their respective Tuesday night matchups while James Harden and the incendiary Houston Rockets look to extend the league’s longest current winning streak on Friday. If you’re looking to give your annual NBA betting bankroll a boost, then let’s get started with my expert parlay picks on all three matchups.

Analyzing The Cash In On Top NBA Parlay Picks Of The Week (Jan. 10th – Jan. 13th)

Boston at Toronto

When: Tuesday, January 10, 2016 at 7:30 PM ET Where: Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Canada NBA Odds: Toronto -4.5 Analysis: The Boston Celtics (23-14 SU, 20-15 ATS) have won four straight games and six of their last seven overall while losing only to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers along the way. The Toronto Raptors (24-13 SU, 22-14 ATS) have dropped two straight and three of their last four games overall, but are my pick to get the hard-fought home win against Boston, mostly because they rank third in scoring (110.6 ppg) and Boston hasn’t been nearly as good defensively as they were last season. The C’s are giving up 104.4 points per game to rank 15th in points allowed, but more importantly, they have no interior scoring or shot blocker to deal with Toronto’s Jonas Valanciunas. The Raptors have won four of their last five meetings against Boston and are just a bit superior to Boston in everything they do. Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan will have the slight edge over Boston’s Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley, leaving the outcome of this contest to each teams’ frontcourt players and effectively giving the Raptors the edge. Pick: Toronto 110 Boston 105

Cleveland at Utah

When: Tuesday, January 10, 2016 at 9:00 PM ET Where: Vivint Smart Home Arena, Salt Lake City, UT NBA Odds: Utah +3 / Total: 204.5 Analysis: Utah (23-16 SU, 18-20 ATS) has lost three of their last four games, including their 88-79 road loss to Memphis the last time out. Cleveland (28-8 SU, 16-18 ATS) has won two straight and eight of their last 10 games overall while squeaking past Phoenix 120-116 in their last contest. Despite both teams’ recent play, I’m going to advise you to back the Utah Jazz in this contest seeing as how they beat the Cavaliers the last time they played them and narrowly lost 118-114 in the meeting prior to that one. Believe it or not, Utah is the better field goal shooting team and also has the statistical edge in defense, turnovers and bench play. The Cavs will likely be uninterested in this affair, leading to a Jazz SU win and accompanying ATS cover as a slight home dog. Pick: Utah 107 Cleveland 101

Memphis at Houston

When: Friday, January 13, 2016 at 8:00 PM ET Where: Toyota Center, Houston, TX Analysis: James Harden and the Houston Rockets (30-9 SU, 26-13 ATS) are on fire right now, having won eight straight games including their 129-122 win at Toronto on Sunday. The Rockets are ranked a stellar second in scoring (114.6 ppg) and are outscoring the opposition by just over seven points per game despite ranking 24th in points allowed (107.0 ppg). Memphis (24-16 SU, 21-19 ATS) has won two straight and four of their last six games, including a stunning 128-119 overtime win against Golden State. The Grizz are ranked a stellar third in points allowed (98.6 ppg) but are ranked just 25th in scoring (99.3 ppg). For this Friday night matchup, I’m going to urge you to back the Rockets to get the SU win and ATS cover if the spread for this matchup doesn’t top six points at most. Houston’s James Harden is in the midst of an MVP-caliber campaign and is averaging a team-high 28.2 points, 11.8 assists and 8.2 rebounds per game. Houston’s offense is more powerful than Memphis’ defense and the outcome of this Western Conference clash will reflect that! Pick: Houston 106 Memphis 100
