Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors NBA Lines Analysis

LA Clippers at Golden State NBA Lines Analysis

Written by on November 4, 2015

In what could have easily been last year’s version of the Western Conference Finals, divisional rivals Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers will be squaring it off this Wednesday in arguably the biggest game in this week’s NBA lines. Last year, the Clippers looked destined to meet the Warriors in the Western Conference finals, but the Los Angeles franchise lost to the Rockets in Game 7 of their series, allowing Houston to march on to the Conference Finals, where they were easily handled by the Warriors, the eventual 2014-15 NBA champions.

With the intentions of giving Golden State a taste of the bullet they dodged last year, the Clips will be hitting the road to Oakland to take on sharpshooting star Stephen Curry and the Warriors in a mouthwatering online betting classic this Wednesday. Both Pacific division rivals have gotten their seasons to blazing starts, boasting of replica 4-0 records so far. Their clash tonight will thus be a chance to decide which of the two teams remains unbeaten, in addition to determining who will have the bragging rights in the Pacific division.

Bearing all that in mind, here is an NBA betting preview of this marquee clash, complete with free NBA picks to inform your wagers.

Curry, the reigning NBA MVP, followed his incredulous 53-point performance in the weekend victory over the Pelicans with a 30-point haul on Monday to help the Warriors to an emphatic 50-point win over the Memphis Grizzlies in a stunning 119-69 Monday night show. That victory marked the fourth successive game that the Warriors had put up over 110 points and won by a double-digit margin this season, underlining their mind-blowing fiery start to the season.

With such dominance, including a 112-92 win over James Harden and the Houston Rockets last week, it is going to take a hellish effort to stop this Golden State team that is admirably taking care of the ball on both ends of the court with meticulous class. This is especially made harder for the Clippers, considering Curry is enjoying an absolutely ridiculous start to the season, having scored 148 points in just 128 minutes of action while hitting 60 percent of his shots from the field, including a crazy 49 percent shooting from downtown.

The Clippers, though coming into this game as road underdogs in the online NBA lines, are far from pushovers. For starters, they have split the wins in their last 10 overall meetings against Golden State, showing that they are able to give just as much heat as is thrown at them.

Even more notably, the Clippers offense has scored over 100 points in each of if its four contests, with all the starters in the team impressing in their respective roles. Blake Griffin has been the team’s most potent weapon, though, and is coming off his second double-double of the season (22 points and 10 rebounds) in Los Angeles’ 102-96 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Like Curry, Griffin has been a prolific offensive gun, averaging a remarkable 62.2 percent shooting from the field—a key reason why he’s scored over 30-plus points in the two games he failed to get a double-double performance this season.

J. J. Redick has been Griffin’s main sidekick in the offense, averaging a team-best 42.9 percent shooting from 3-point range, with Chris Paul doing his usual job of making plays for his teammates and big man DeAndre Jordan ruling the world of cleaning the glass.

It should however be noted that, outside Griffin and Redick, the rest of the team has been struggling in the shooting department, especially from beyond the arc where the Clips are averaging just 27.7 percent. Essentially, that’s the reason only one of their wins—the 104-88 victory over Dallas—has come by double-digits. An improvement from Paul and Co. will thus be required in the offense, or else Golden State’s trio of Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut (who’ve all been offering solid help to Curry in the offense) will torch them up at the ORACLE Arena.

Clippers at Warriors NBA Lines Prediction

The Clippers give a good account of themselves, but Curry and his solid support system (that includes a very good bench) overpower the visitors, earning Golden State a win, but the Clippers manage to cover the spread, with the total probably staying UNDER.
