Will ‘trusting the process’ finally come to fruition in the City of Brotherly Love as the young and loaded Philadelphia 76ers shoot for a playoff berth with their slew of high draft NBA win total picks? Will Giannis Antetokounmpo and the blossoming Milwaukee Bucks build on their fine 2016-17 season and can the revamped Minnesota Timberwolves reach heights they haven’t seen since the ‘Big Ticket’ was leading them to prominence back in the day? Can the young Los Angeles Lakers get their collective act together under Magic Johnson’s guidance and will the Los Angeles Clippers take a step backwards with former team leader and orchestrator Chris Paul bolting for the apparently greener pastures in Houston? Let’s answer all of the aforementioned questions and more as we offer the latest NBA odds for the season win total.

Latest 2017 NBA Win Total Odds Predictions and Free Picks

Philadelphia 76ers 40.5 Wins

If the 76ers don’t win 41 games this coming season, I’m going to just stop trusting the process…it’s that simple. Having said that, I fully believe Philly will get to .500 in 2017-18 to challenge for a playoff spot in the weak Eastern Conference after going 28-54 last season. The Sixers made some wise off season additions by signing veteran sniper J.J. Redick and veteran big man Amir Johnson and they have some of the best young talent in high draft picks like Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Jahlil Okafor, Dario Saric and now, gifted point guard Markelle Fultz. After years of futility, something good has got to happen for Philly in 2017-18 and I believe it will. NBA Win Total Odds Pick: over 40.5 Wins

Milwaukee Bucks 44.5 Wins

Giannis Antetokounmpo is now a true superstar (24.8 ppg, 9.5 rpg) and oft-injured forward Jabari Parker will be back on the floor next season after suffering his second torn ACL, so that alone should make the Bucks better than they were last season when they went 42-40. Milwaukee also has a pair of wonderful young players in combo guard Malcolm Brogdon and 7-1 forward Thon Maker and have one of the best two-way players in the NBA in underrated shooting guard Khris Middleton. The Bucks drafted a pair of players in stretch four, D.J. Wilson and ‘3 and D’ swingman Sterling Brown that could contribute in some capacity right away as rookies this coming season. Three more victories isn’t a whole lot and I believe the Bucks will get there this coming season. NBA Win Total Odds Pick: Over 44.5 Wins Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Win Total Odds Pick Over 45.5 Wins

Minnesota Timberwolves 45.5 Wins

The T-Wolves didn’t do nearly as good as many thought they would in their first season under task-master Tom Thibodeau in going 31-51 last season, but they should be much improved after adding veteran shooting guard Jimmy Butler, all-star point guard Jeff Teague, power forward Taj Gibson and sweet-shooting, three-time Sixth Man of the Year, Jamal Crawford. I know a 15-win improvement sounds like a lot, but right now, I’m thinking Minnesota should be able to reach 46 victories as long as they stay healthy. Let’s not forget, Minnesota has one of the best young big men in the league in Karl Anthony Towns (25.1 ppg) and a gifted swingman in Andrew Wiggins (23.6 ppg) that are both still under 23-years-old. Highlight 2017-18 NBA Season Total Winning Predictions

Los Angeles Lakers 32.5 Wins

The Lakers may have gone 26-56 last season, but things will be a lot different for L.A. in the near future with Magic Johnson now in charge. The proud franchise drafted point guard Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft and his pass-first mentality should make everyone else on the roster better this coming season. I also love the addition of Villanova shooting guard Josh Hart with the 30th overall pick and combo guard P.J. Dozier out of South Carolina. The Lakers also traded for all-star center Brook Lopez and signed former Detroit Pistons shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in free agency. Last but not least, the Lakers are expecting big things out of 2016 No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram. Simply put, I like pick the Lakers to win 33 games to top their 2017-18 win total odds. NBA Win Total Odds Pick: Over 32.5 Wins

Los Angeles Clippers 41.5 Wins

The Clippers went 51-31 last season, but as you can see from their 2017-18 win total odds, they’re not expected to be nearly as good as they have been the past few seasons.  First and foremost, the Clips traded all-star point guard Chris Paul and that’s going to hurt in a big way. L.A. also saw sweet-shooting veteran sniper J.J. Redick bolt for a big pay day in Philadelphia while three-time Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford bolted for the apparently greener pastures in Minnesota. While Blake Griffin re-signed and the Clippers added veteran small forward Danilo Galinari, I’m thinking it’s going to be a very long season for Doc Rivers in what could be his final season with the Clippers. I say L.A. finishes right at .500 so play the under, but just narrowly. NBA Win Total Odds Pick: Under 41.5 Wins
