While the NBA remains on hiatus, we can take solace in a few things. First, it’s almost guaranteed that the NBA Playoffs happen. Third, when the NBA Playoffs do happen, the Los Angeles Clippers will be a favorite to win the rings. That’s what this blog is about. The other La La Land squad. Check out an analysis of the Los Angeles Clippers. Also, make sure to read our assessment of the Clippers’ odds to win the 2020 NBA Championship. Here’s an overview of the Los Angeles Clippers 2020 season so far with NBA Odds and NBA Championship Odds.

NBA Los Angeles Clippers 2020 Season Analysis

Los Angeles Clippers – 44-20 Second in Pacific Division

Clippers Offense Analysis

The Clippers score 116.2 points per game, ranking fifth in the NBA. LAC shoots 46.4% from the field and 36.6% from three. As we might expect, Kawhi Leonard leads the team with 26.9 points per. But the Clipps aren’t a one-man show. Paul George scores 21 points each game. Lou Williams averages 18.7 and Marcus Morris drops 17.4.

That gives the Clippers plenty of options. If you double-team Kawhi, the Clipps can go to Morris, Lou, or PG-13. Play Kawhi one-on-one and he beats you by himself. The Clippers offense is the top unit in the NBA because unlike the Lakers with 2 stars and the Bucks with 1, LAC can go in many different directions with each offensive possession.

Clippers Defense Analysis

Los Angeles allows 109.7 points per game. Although that ranks just thirteenth, the spread between what the Clippers allow and what they score is an excellent 6.5 points. That means on most nights, the Clippers will cover if they’re 6 ½ point favorites or less. Pretty good for a team that scores at will.

LAC ranks third in field goal percentage allowed, 43.6, and second in three-point percentage allowed 34.1. The Clippers can turn up the defensive pressure any time they feel like it.

The Clippers are in second place in the Western Conference. They’re guaranteed a playoff spot.

Los Angeles Clippers Odds to Win the NBA Title? +300

The Clippers, along with the rival Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks, are the class of the NBA. LAC is the third choice to win the championship. But although they offer better odds than both the Lakers and Bucks, they’re the pick to win it all.

The Clippers have more options on offense than either the Lakers or Bucks. What’s really striking is how the Clippers play great on both ends of the court. The final reason to dig the Clipps is that they’ve got Kawhi Leonard and no one else does. Kawhi can flat out take over a series. He did it last season with the Toronto Raptors.

The Lakers are favored. The Bucks have the best record. But if you’re looking to back chalk, go with the Los Angeles Clippers. They’ve got Kawhi and nobody else does.
