With around 20 games left in the NBA regular season, we’re seeing teams turn up the intensity to make a run at the playoffs. Playoff teams are jockeying for a better seed to hopefully attain home-court advantage.

The NBA Championship odds have recently been updated, and we’re going to break down some of the favorites to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

NBA Betting | Updated Odds to Win the 2021 Championship

Brooklyn Nets +250

At the start of the season, the Nets were near the top of the favorites list, but they jumped to the very top once they acquired James Harden. The Nets are now the favorite to win the NBA championship.

The oddsmakers think that the trio of James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving is going to be too much for anyone to stop. Even though the Nets can’t guard anyone, people are banking on the Nets just to outscore everyone.

Los Angeles Lakers +350

The oddsmakers are banking on the Lakers being healthy come playoff time. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, the Lakers are once again one of the favorites to win their second straight NBA championship.

The Lakers are very good defensively, so this will be a big key to winning another title.

Los Angeles Clippers +500

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George lead the Clippers on their quest to win an NBA title. The Clippers have a squad that can lock down defensively, so this will be big in the postseason. The acquisition of Rajon Rondo at the trade deadline could also be a difference-maker for the Clippers.

Milwaukee Bucks +700

After last year’s playoff collapse, Mike Budenholzer has made some changes to the Buck’s schemes. Teams didn’t allow Giannis Antetokounmpo to get into the lane during the playoffs, forcing him to shoot from the perimeter.

If Antetokounmpo can hit some perimeter shots, the Bucks have a great shot at winning a title. The acquisition of Jrue Holiday will be a big help for the Bucks in the postseason.

Utah Jazz +900

The Jazz currently own the best record in the NBA. Many feel that the Jazz aren’t built for the postseason, but it’s hard to argue against their record. Donovan Mitchell has been an offensive force, while Rudy Gobert has anchored the Jazz defense. Quin Snyder has quietly become one of the best coaches in the NBA.

Philadelphia 76ers +1100

Once the Sixers signed some shooters to surround Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, the Sixers became a significant championship threat. Embiid can be unstoppable at times, and now teams have to respect the shooting of the Sixers. Doc Rivers should have them in a position to make a long postseason run.

Phoenix Suns +2000

Chris Paul has turned the Phoenix Suns into a legitimate contender. He has helped mold the Suns’ young talent and has shown them what it takes to be a great team. Monty Williams has done a great job with this squad.
