Why Bet on Philadelphia?

The 76ers ended a four-game losing streak with a 118-116 victory at the Lakers on Sunday. Dario Saric lit up the Lakers with a career-high 29 points, making 10-of- 20 FGs and 6-of- 9 FTs with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers. Saric has scored double-digit points in 16 straight games, the longest streak by a rookie this season. Jahlil Okafor posted 23 points with four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot over 27 minutes. Okafor has come alive over the past three games with 17.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals, while hitting 50 percent or better from the field in each contest. Philadelphia got guard Gerald Henderson (hip) back against the Lakers, but was without forward Robert Covington. The Sixers said Covington, who fouled out Saturday against the Clippers, has right knee swelling. Covington is listed as a day-to- day and will be evaluated for Tuesday’s contest against the Warriors. He received massage and ultrasound treatment. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot started vs. the Lakers, posting a career-high 18 points on 7-of- 11 shooting, hitting two 3-pointers with three rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes. With Covington (knee) ruled out tonight, allowing TLC earned his second straight start — he started on Saturday in place of Henderson. This season, both the 76ers and Lakers are heading toward the lottery, and they are closely linked together in it.
