Bet The Toronto Raptors vs Milwaukee Bucks Pro Hoops Spread

Written by on March 14, 2016

We are at the point in the season where some of the teams making a late run are just about in the too little too late category. The perfect example of that would be the Milwaukee Bucks. Even though they have reeled off 3 straight wins, they are still pretty far out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. They still have a shot mathematically, but also know that they have a number of tough games to play as they head down the stretch. Their Tuesday night home tilt with the Toronto Raptors would definitely serve as one of those tough match-ups, as the Raptors are still in with a legitimate shot of winning the East. There are a number of reasons, other than the current gulf in the standings between these to, why the Raptors are going to be favorites for this one, but the recent run of form by the Bucks suggests they might just pull off the NBA betting lines upset.

Why bet on the Toronto Raptors

It’s beginning to look more and more likely that the Toronto Raptors (44-20) are going to have to settle for second place in the East, as they haven’t been able to get closer than a couple of games back of the Cavaliers for as long as anyone can remember now. This is happening despite the fact that Toronto has gone 8-2 in their last 10 games. The Raptors lost to the Rockets in a disappointing performance a couple of weekends ago, but bounced back nicely last week by taking all 3 of their games on home court. They will have a Monday night home tilt against the struggling Bulls before heading on the road, where they are 18-13 overall, to face the Bucks. Toronto are averaging 102.9 PPG, and are giving up 98.4 PPG.

Why bet on the Milwaukee Bucks

As I mentioned at the start of this piece, the Bucks (29-38) are on a 3-game winning streak, but all that has done is pull them to within 5.5 games of the final playoff spot, which is an awful lot of ground to make up in a few short weeks. Still, you cannot take this current run of good form away from them, and the fact that the Raptors recently lost to a poor Houston Rockets team may be a sign that the Bucks may be able to snatch something from this one. It does seem unlikely, though, as Milwaukee has only beaten Toronto once in the last 10 times they have faced them. Milwaukee are averaging 99.6 PPG, and are giving up 103.1 PPG.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

The Raptors are coming into this one looking for a 4-game regular season sweep of the Bucks, and it’s hard to be against them given their recent record versus Milwaukee. Toronto Raptors 106 Milwaukee Bucks 99
