The Golden State Warriors are moving across the bay to San Francisco next season. Thus, Wednesday night’s national TV matchup is the San Antonio Spurs’ last game in Oakland unless the Spurs and Dubs meet in the playoffs. Golden State is a sizable NBA lines favorite for this one.

Season Series
Spurs lead 1-0. On Nov. 18, the Spurs won 104-92 at home. LaMarcus Aldridge controlled the paint with 24 points (10-16 FG, 4-4 FT) and 18 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan pitched in 20 points (8-19 FG, 4-6 FT), nine assists and six boards for the Spurs, while Rudy Gay posted 19 points, five rebounds, three blocked shots, and one assist in 31 minutes. For the Warriors, Kevin Durant (8-25 FG, 1-8 3FG, 9-10 FT) and Klay Thompson (11-26 FG, 3-11 3FG) combined to score 51 points on 37 percent shooting to lead Golden State. Shaun Livingston was the only other Warrior in double figures, contributing 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Steph Curry, Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins were all out.
Why Bet on San Antonio?
The Spurs’ five-game winning streak ended Monday in a 127-112 loss in Sacramento. Kings coach Dave Joerger was fearful his team could have a “hangover” after an emotional win at home Saturday night against Philadelphia. But the young Kings sealed their first season-series win over the Spurs since 2001-02. Sacramento had lost 14 straight to San Antonio before winning at home in November and followed it up with another.DeMar DeRozan had 24 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 22 for the Spurs, who lost the opener of their annual eight-game rodeo road trip. The team was without point guard Derrick White. The Spurs are not expecting White (plantar fasciitis) to return before the All-Star break.
Speaking with reporters on Monday, coach Gregg Popovich said: “He’ll be out for a while. The MRI wasn’t great. So we’ll see.” White missed the first nine games of the regular season with a similar issue in his left foot. Davis Bertans started on Monday vs. the Kings and scored 11 points with eight rebounds in place of White. Popovich might tweak his lineups based on the matchups.
The Silver and Black are currently shooting at a .408 clip from behind the arc this season, which ranks first in the NBA. The Spurs have finished a season shooting over 40 percent from the 3-point line just once in team history (40.7 percent in 2000-01). San Antonio has four qualified players shooting above 40 percent from behind the arc: Davis Bertans (47.1), Bryn Forbes (42.3), Rudy Gay (41.4) and Patty Mills (40.2). Bertans ranks second in the NBA.

Why Bet on Golden State?
The Dubs have been off since an easy home win over the Lakers on Wednesday, helped by the fact that LeBron James didn’t play. James’ rest was for what coach Luke Walton called “load management.”DeMarcus Cousins notched his first double-double with the Warriors on Saturday, scoring 18 points (5-of-15 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs) with 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes. Cousins is slowly working his way back to form. Cousins has put up 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.0 dimes, 1.0 blocks, 1.2 steals and 0.8 triples in 24.4 minutes over his last five games.
Klay Thompson (illness) scored a team-high 28 points (10-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) against the Lakers on Saturday, adding five rebounds, two assists, and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes. Thompson missed the team’s last game after being a late scratch, but returned to the lineup and exploded for 23 points in the first half.
Kevin Durant double-doubled with 21 points (8-of-13 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, 11 assists and two turnovers in 35 minutes. KD now has four point-assist double-doubles on the season, which is one more than he had all of last year. Draymond Green (right ankle) stuffed the stat sheet on Saturday, scoring four points (2-of-5 FGs) with three rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and one steal in 27 minutes. There was a brief scare late in the first half after he turned his right ankle after landing on another player’s foot. Steve Kerr said that Green’s ankle is “fine.”
The Warriors are ranked first in the NBA in scoring (118.7 ppg), field goal percentage (.490 FG%), free throw percentage (.821 FT%), assists per game (29.3 apg) and blocks per game (6.42 bpg). They are ranked second in 3-point field goal percentage (.386 3P%). The Warriors have scored at least 100 points in each of the last 23 games, the longest since they had 36-straight games of at least 100 points in 2016-17 (Dec. 11, 2016, to Feb. 28, 2017).
