Written by on January 20, 2017

With the 2016-17 NBA season quickly approaching its annual all-star break and roundball gaming enthusiasts like you looking to add to your basketball betting bankrolls, it’s time for some value-packed parlay picks for the upcoming weekend.

Now, let’s get down to business with my trio of NBA expert picks.

Top NBA Parlay Picks Of The Weekend (Jan. 21st)

Portland At Boston

When: 5:00 PM ET, Saturday, January 21, 2017 Where: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts Analysis: Heading into Friday night, Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers (18-26 SU, 18-26 ATS) were struggling in dropping three straight games including a dismal 107-85 loss to mediocre Charlotte on Wednesday night. While Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Celtics (26-16 SU, 23-17-2 ATS) had their three-game winning streak snapped in their 117-106 upset loss against New York on Wednesday night, but the C’s have been on a red-hot roll in winning seven of their last nine, with Thomas leading them with some absolutely phenomenal performances.

Boston averages less than a point per game less than Portland, but the C’s are the far better defensive team so far this season and will be facing a Blazers ballclub that has gone 7-17 on the road this season. The Trail Blazers are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference ballclubs. The Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference teams and 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall.

Boston has won six of their last seven at home and will get the narrow home win in this matchup against the Blazers people.

Pick: Boston 107 Portland 102

Philadelphia at Atlanta

When: Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 7:00 PM ET
Where: Philips Arena, Atlanta, Georgia

Analysis:
Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers (14-26 SU, 23-17 STS) have won two straight and three of their last four games while Paul Millsap and the Atlanta Hawks have split their last four games and got embarrassed by Detroit in their last contest prior to this writing. I’m expecting Atlanta to be favored by about a half-dozen points in this contest, but I’m going to urge you to back the underdog Sixers because of the inspired basketball they are playing behind Embiid’s jaw-dropping rookie season.

The 76ers are a blistering 8-1 ATS in their last nine games overall, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games against their Eastern Conference rivals and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. Conversely, while has gone 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall, the Hawks are also just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games against a team with a losing road record. I know Philly is 0-5 ATS in their last five meetings against the Hawks, but these Sixers are young and hungry and have some blossoming talent, starting with Embiid.

Pick: Philadelphia 102 Atlanta 100

San Antonio at Cleveland

When:  Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 8:30 PM ET
Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio
TV: ABC

Analysis:
LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers (30-11 SU, 18-21-2 ATS) have the edge in scoring, but Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs (33-9 SU, 24-17-1 ATS) have the statistical edge in shooting from the field and free throw line as well as turnovers and bench scoring.

While Cleveland has gone 19-3 in 22 home games this season, the Spurs are an incendiary 17-3 on the road this season. With the Spurs going 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against Cleveland and the road team in this rivalry going 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings, I’m thinking San Antonio gets the outright road win.

Pick: San Antonio 107 Cleveland 104
