Toronto At Indiana NBA Winning Predictions

Written by on April 3, 2017

If you look at the two conferences, it’s obvious which one has a higher level of parity than the other. In the Western Conference, there is a massive gulf between the top two teams and the rest of the pack, but that is certainly not the case over in the Eastern Conference. While there are definitely 3 or 4 teams there who have created a little bit of a separation, it’s not to the extent that it is in the West.

At this point, it’s tough to say which team might be the one to represent the East in the NBA Finals, but the Toronto Raptors will almost certainly feel as though they have a shot. They are currently occupying the #3 seed, and will have a chance to cement that position if they can take out the Indiana Pacers on the road on Tuesday night. Indiana are sitting just below the playoff line, but could jump over it with a win on home court. This makes for a very intriguing scenario is this match-up.

Here’s A Closer Look At The Raptors At Pacers NBA Odds

Why bet on the Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors (47-30) appear to have chosen the perfect time to get hot, as their run of 8-2 in their last 10 games has vaulted them into the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference. That may be as high as they are going to be able to go, as they are still 2.5 games back of the Cavaliers for the #2 spot with time running out. The Raptors have been decent on the road this season, sitting a game above .500 away from home, but they have had the number of the Pacers over the past few seasons. Toronto have won 9 of their last 10 games versus Indiana, which should make them the betting odds favorite for this one.

Why bet on the Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers (37-40) looked quite comfortable in their playoff spot just a week or so ago, but 4 straight losses have seen then fall below the line, and with time running out on the regular season, they are going to need to find a way to plug the holes in their sinking ship. Playing at home might well be what the Pacers need to snap out of this funk, as they have been very good in their own building this season, going 26-12. The bad news here is that they have not performed well in games versus teams at .500 or better, going just 12-22 against that group. They are going to need to find a way to improve that record if they plan on being playoff bound.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

The Toronto Raptors look like a team getting into playoff form right now, which could well be bad news for the Pacers. Combine that with Toronto’s dominance over Indiana and you get a Raptors win.
