But who among these teams, or other ACC teams for that matter, will stand tallest when all is said and done at the end of the season? ACC Champion 2015-16: North Carolina Tar Heels

Given the talent losses witnessed by the Blue Devils at the end of their championship-winning campaign, the ACC looks ripe for the taking by the Tar Heels, who have massive depth outside and inside their unit. If Marcus Paige and his injury concerns can be sorted out, then North Carolina should be able to boss its way to ACC’s top hardware.

ACC Runner-up 2015-16: Virginia Cavaliers

Led by the versatile Malcolm Brogdon, the Cavaliers have enough playmaking abilities that will allow them to stick it to nearly any opponent they meet this season. Added to their resolute defense that is nearly guaranteed to be among the best in the nation, the Cavs look most dangerous to challenge UNC for the top honors in this conference.

ACC Best Dark Horse 2015-16: Miami Hurricanes

Duke and Florida State are the obvious names that come to mind here, given their impressive history in the college basketball betting lines, but the ‘Canes are our pick for the team capable of surprising most bettors with a solid performance this year. This is mainly because the Canes will not only be one of the best coached teams in the ACC, but they also boast of the stellar dynamic duo services of Sheldon McClellan and Angel Rodriguez, who are both incredibly talented.

ACC Player of the Year 2015-16: Marcus Paige (North Carolina)

With Jahlil Okafor and Co. gone to the NBA, Marcus Paige (even with his broken non-shooting hand that will reportedly keep him out for 3-4 weeks) is still the most all-rounded player in the ACC, which should allow him to impress above everyone else this year. His talent was evidenced last year when he averaged 14.1 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.9 rebounds. Added to the fact that the Tar Heels look most likely to claim the title, a lot of light will shine Paige’s way, giving him the best shot to claim this prestigious individual title.

ACC Coach of the Year 2015-16: Roy Williams (North Carolina)

Old Roy has seen and done it all, and if the Tar Heels live up to their bill to collect the ACC title, and possibly Williams’ third National Championship in Chapel Hill, then there’s no reason this coaching award shouldn’t have his venerated name on it.

ACC Rookie of the Year 2015-16: Brandon Ingram (Duke)

To be honest with you, there are several names worthy of being listed here, and the fact that some sleeper players will step up their game means that the rookie of the year could come from nearly any team in the ACC. That said, freshman Brandon Ingram showed massive improvements in his game on both ends of the field and he looks most ready to become an impact player for the talent-ridden Blue Devils. Plus, Ingram was named as the ACC Preseason Freshman of the Year and was also voted into the league’s Preseason First Team All-ACC, underlining the rightful general consensus that he could be due for a big year.
