College Basketball Betting: Top Games to Wager On Tuesday and Wednesday
Oklahoma Sooners at Baylor Bears
- When: Tuesday, Jan. 4
11-2 Oklahoma is a very good basketball team. The Sooners are terrific against the 3-point shot, holding opponents to 28.9% from behind the arc.
But although the Sooners are solid, they’re just 6-7 ATS, which means they struggle to cover spreads. That’s bad news for Oklahoma and their fans because on Tuesday the Sooners play the top team in the nation. Baylor is 13-0 SU and 8-4-1 ATS. Bears roll to a win and cover.
NCAA Pick: Baylor Bears
Kentucky Wildcats at LSU Tigers
- When: Tuesday, Jan. 4
Kentucky is hot. The Wildcats have won 4 straight both SU and ATS. On Dec. 18, Big Blue dusted the North Carolina Tar Heels 98-69 on a neutral court.
No doubt, the Wildcats will push LSU for the victory. The Tigers, though, should come out ahead. LSU hosts Kentucky after their first loss of the season. A bounce back is in order. Not only that, but, yes, Kentucky has played great, but outside of the victory against UNC, the Wildcats didn’t beat good or even mediocre teams.
NCAA Pick: LSU Tigers
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Duke Blue Devils
- When: Tuesday, Jan. 4
Because of a coronavirus outbreak, the Blue Devils had to cancel a couple of games. Tuesday will be the the first time Duke has played since beating Virginia Tech 76-65 on Dec. 22.
The Dookies may be rusty in the first half. By the time the second half rolls around, Duke should be back to their dominating selves. The Blue Devils are 11-1 SU and 7-3-2 ATS. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 6-6 and 3-8-1 ATS. Duke blows out G-Tech for the win and cover.
NCAA Pick: Duke Blue Devils
Alabama Crimson Tide at Florida Gators
- When: Wednesday, Jan. 5
The Tide should have no trouble versus the Gators. But before backing Alabama, it’s important to note that the Crimson Tide have gone 0-5 ATS in their last 5.
Florida hasn’t dominated against the spread. But this happens on their court and the Gators have a stingy defense. Florida should keep this close enough to at least win ATS.
NCAA Pick: Florida Gators
Creighton Blue Jays at Villanova Wildcats
- When: Wednesday, Jan. 5
Both teams head into this huge Big East matchup off victories. On Jan. 1, the Blue Jays beat the Marquette Golden Eagles 75-69. The Villanova Wildcats beat the Seton Hall Pirates 73-67 on the same day.
The Blue Jays won the last head-to-head, which gives them a shot in this. But Nova is on a roll. Before beating the Pirates, Villanova bested Xavier 71-58. The Wildcats win and cover.
NCAA Pick: Villanova Wildcats
Texas Tech Red Raiders at Iowa State Cyclones
- When: Wednesday, Jan. 5
Texas Tech is 4-1 SU in their last 5. The Red Raiders only loss happened versus the Gonzaga Bulldogs. As good as Iowa State is, they aren’t Gonzaga.
Iowa State hung with Baylor in their last. Also, this happens on the Cyclones court, which will make them tough to beat. Still, we can’t help but think Iowa State gets overplayed in this spot. The Red Raiders have gelled. Texas Tech keeps this close enough for a spread victory.
NCAA Pick: Texas Tech Red Raiders
