Best NCAAB Teams To Bet On ATS

Written by on February 4, 2016

If you’re an NCAAB betting aficionado and you think many of the best ATS teams to wager on are elite title contenders like No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 North Carolina or many of the other top title contenders, then you had better think again. While there are a few legitimate national championship hopefuls among the best ATS teams in the country, there are also numerous surprise teams burning up the ATS standings. Now, let’s find out who!

Best NCAAB Teams To Bet On Against the Spread

3. VCU (13-4 ATS, 17-5 SU)

The Rams are putting up 78.5 points per game (68th) and limiting the opposition to just 67.0 points per contest defensively (72nd). Better yet, VCU has been a great wager at home (5-2 ATS) and on the road (6-1 ATS).

4. Seton Hall (15-6 ATS, 16-6 SU)

If you’re an old guy that remembers when Seton Hall was a perennial hoops powerhouse, (I do) then it’s nice to see the Pirates get back to their winning ways this season. Seton Hall is averaging a solid 74.4 points per game while limiting the opposition to 66.5 points per contest defensively (61st) and just 40.0 percent shooting from the field (42nd).

5. South Carolina (14-5 ATS, 19-3 SU)

When you limit your opponents to just 38.4 percent shooting (13th) like the Gamecocks have this season, it’s no wonder they’re one of the best ATS teams in the nation. South Carolina has gone 7-2 ATS at home so far.

8. St. Joseph’s (14-6-1 ATS, 18-4 SU)

‘The Hawk Will Never Die’ for beloved head coach Phil Martelli in the City of Brotherly Love. St. Joe’s is back on the national map, mostly because they limit their opponents to just 39.5 percent shooting from the field (30th) and a stunning 29.6 percent from beyond the arc (12th). The Hawks are a perfect 7-0 ATS on the road!

10. USC (14-7-1 ATS, 17-5 SU)

The Trojans are putting up a fantastic 84.2 points per game (12th) and grabbing an insane 42.1 rebounds per game (ninth). USC is just 3-3 ATS on the road, but they’re also a red-hot 10-2-1 ATS at home.

Best of the Rest!

13. Monmouth-NJ (14-7 ATS, 18-5 SU)

Yeah… it’s nice that Monmouth is putting up a stunning 80.3 points per game (35th), but hey, what we really want to see is their ‘bench mob’ perform one of their now famous routines.

14. St. Mary’s (12-5 ATS, 18-2 SU)

When you play defense like the Gaels, (59.6 ppg, 2nd), it’s easy to see why they’ve gone 9-3 ATS at home and why I also believe they’re a legit title contender.

16. Colorado (13-6 ATS, 17-5 SU)

The Buffs are draining a blistering 41.2 percent of their three-point attempts this season (eighth) and rank fifth in rebounding (42.5). Colorado has gone 7-3 ATS at home.

17. Kansas St. (12-6-1 ATS, 13-9 SU)

Sure, the Wildcats are just mediocre this season, but they limit the opposition to just 67.3 points per game (73rd) and just 29.1 percent shooting from three-point distance (ninth).

20. Clemson (12-6 ATS, 14-8 SU)

The Tigers are playing solid basketball, particularly at the defensive end of the floor where they limit their opponents to just 63.2 points per game (15th). Clemson is 7-2 ATS at home this season.

21. Xavier (14-8 ATS, 20-2 SU)

The Musketeers are putting up 80.4 points per game (34th) while limiting their opponents to just 68.0 points per contest at the other end of the floor (96th). The Musketeers look like a legitimate national championship contender right now and they’ve gone 5-2 ATS on the road, but just 6-6 ATS at home.
