No. 12 Arizona vs. Boise State

All the talk in Arizona right now is about transfer forward Ryan Anderson who has lived up to his hyped-up reputation, vindicating head coach Sean Miller’s decision to push for his signature. You can therefore expect all eyes to be on Anderson and the Wildcats in this game, as NCAA Basketball odds pundits seek to validate whether or not Arizona is worthy of being considered as Pac-12’s top title contender. For Boise State, the season has so far not gone according to plan, with the team suffering a devastating loss to Montana and then giving up a whopping 81 points to Northern Arizona. Still, BSU is expected to find a bit of its rhythm in the quest to challenge SDSU for the Mountain West title, so a much-improved performance is anticipated from them in this game. Writer’s Prediction: The Broncos give a spirited performance, but the Wildcats prove to be far much superior, handing BSU a double-digit defeat in a high-scoring thriller that will take them game total past 150 points.

No. 6 Virginia vs. Bradley

Surprise, surprise… The Virginia Cavaliers already have one loss to their name, to the lowly George Washington no less. But worry not you fickle-hearted Virginia fans that have started complaining, the Cavs (as we all know) are talented enough to bounce back strongly and even finish the rest of the season without suffering any defeat. Facing a Bradley team that has struggled mightily on both sides of the court this season should be a perfect tonic for Virginia to get back on track. Even so, the Cavs will need to other players not named Malcolm Brogdon to give their offensive contributions as well, rather than excessively relying on their shooting star to do all the sole-bread winning duties in the attack. Writer’s Prediction: Virginia gets back on track in a big way, scoring 70-plus points and beating Bradley by at least 20 points in a one-sided NCAAB lines encounter.
