Updated NCAA Basketball Championship Odds – November 30th Edition

Written by on November 30, 2018

If you’re excited about the 2018-19 college basketball season and you’re still in the process of deciding which team or teams you like best to win the 2019 March Madness national championship, then you’re in luck.

Thanks to the expert betting insight that you’re about to get on three teams that could very well win this season’s national championship, you’re going to be able to make the most out of your season-long college hoops future odds wager. Now, let’s get started.

Updated NCAA Basketball Championship Odds – November 30th Edition

The Favorite

  • Duke

The Blue Devils (6-1) suffered a heartbreaking 89-87 loss at home against No. 2 Gonzaga on Nov. 21, but they bounced back to smack Indiana senseless in their 90-69 blowout win on Tuesday. Duke ranks a stupendous seventh in scoring (91.6 ppg) and 51s in field goal shooting percentage (48.7 %). Defensively, the Blue Devils allow 70.9 points per game while limiting the opposition to just 39.0 percent shooting from the field to rank 53rd nationally.

More importantly, Duke’s top three overall recruits have been as good or better than advertised with R.J. Barrett averaging 22.7 points per game, super athletic forward Zion Williamson averaging 21.3 points per contest and Cam Reddish putting up 15.3 points per contest.

While their youth may or may not cost them come tourney time, there’s no doubt that the loaded Blue devils are going to be very difficult, if not impossible, to dispatch once March Madness rolls around.

The Smart Pick

  • Gonzaga

The Bulldogs are my ‘smart’ pick to win it all and no, it’s not because they beat Duke almost two weeks ago. No, I like the Bulldogs and believe they can beat any team in the country for a handful of great reasons. Gonzaga ranks second nationally in scoring (97.7 ppg) while also ranking first in field goal shooting percentage. Gonzaga also limits the opposition to just 73.7 points per game defensively, so they’re really elite at both ends of the floor.

Gonzaga is one of the favorites at the latest NCAA Basketball Championship Odds.

More importantly, the Bulldogs have a ton of elite talent and at least three future NBA performers, starting with forward Rui Hachimura (21.9 ppg). Head coach Mark few is as good as any coach on the planet and I do mean anyone. I like the Zags a bunch and believe they make for an excellent championship futures odds wager.

The Long Shot

  • Michigan

The Wolverines (7-0) might be a whopping 35/1 longshot, but I’m thinking they’re offering some stupendous value for a team that reached the national championship a year ago. While Michigan averages a modest 72.7 points per game (227th) they are also the nation’s best defensive team in limiting the opposition to a mind-boggling 51.0 points per game defensively. The Wolverines also rank a stupendous second in field goal shooting percentage (34.0%) while also limiting their opponents to just 28.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc (49th).

Forward Ingas Brazdeikis (16.9 pg, 5.7 rpg0 is Michigan’s best player, but the Wolverines are well-balanced with seven players all averaging over 5.6 points per game and six players pulling down at least 4.1 rebounds per contest. While the offense gets all the publicity in today’s times, Michigan is a legitimate national championship contender because of their defense – and one that I expect to be right in the mix once March Madness rolls around.
