How To Bet the Creighton vs Providence NCAAB Lines

Written by on March 1, 2016

After snapping their respective two-game losing streaks in their last games, both , the Creighton Bluejays and Providence Friars will look to record consecutive victories and improve their college hoops betting hopes of reaching the annual NCAA March Madness championship tournament. Unfortunately, one of these teams will be on the wrong end of a potentially postseason-damaging loss. Now let’s find out whom.

How To Bet The Creighton Bluejays vs. Providence Friars NCAAB Odds & TV Info

When: Wednesday, March 2, 2016,  9:00 PM  ET Where: Dunkin’ Donuts Center, Providence, Rhode Island TV: CBSS NCAAB Odds: TBA

Why Bet The Creighton Bluejays

The best reason to bet the Bluejays (18-11 SU, 17-11 ATS) in this contest is that they have the edge in scoring, rebounding and turnovers. Creighton snapped its two-game skid by blowing St. John’s out of the water in its 100-59 win on Sunday as Geoffrey Groselle scored a team-high 22 points while adding11 rebounds and blocked three shots. James Milliken added 19 points and Cole Huff contributed 13 for Creighton which sits in fourth place in the Big East standings, two games behind third-place Seton Hall. The Bluejays (79.8 ppg) average exactly six points per game more than Providence although they also allow 2.2 more points per contest defensively. Creighton shot an incendiary 60 against the Red Storm on Sunday and has gone 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight up win and a consistent 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games.

Why Bet The Providence Friars

Providence (20-9 SU, 14-14 ATS) is a good bet in this contest because they’ve pretty much owned Creighton recently. The Friars have won four in a row over Creighton and also halted their two-game skid by pounding overmatched DePaul 87-66 on Saturday. Ben Bentil scored 16 of his team-high 28 points in the second half while Kyron Cartwright added 16 points and eight assists and Jalen Lindsey, 14 points. The Friars have watched what once looked like a sure-fire berth in the NCAA Tournament become endangered by losing five of their previous six games. The good news heading into their home date against Creighton is that the Friars are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games against a team with a losing road record.

Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction

Both of these teams will be bringing their respective ‘’A” games in this contest, making this an extremely tough ATS call in my opinion. I know Providence has won four straight in this series, but they narrowly beat the Bluejays by a basket in their 50-48 road win on January 12 and I just don’t like the way they’ve played in losing five of their previous six games. Having said that, I say, this time around, Creighton gets the ATS cover at the very least while pushing the Friars for the outright road win. The Friars are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall and a winless 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning straight up record.Creighton has gone 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games against their Big East rivals and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record. The Bluejays may be 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings against the Friars, but I like them to get the ATS win this time around! My final score prediction: Creighton 75 Providence 72
