Expert Picks For Saturday’s College Basketball (Feb. 18th)

Written by on February 17, 2017

We are getting to the point where we are beginning to run out of weekends in the college basketball season. March Madness is now just a few weeks away, and for many teams, every single game counts if they want to have a good ranking, or even just make it into the tournament. Picking out just a few games to wager on this coming Saturday is tough, so I have decided to stick with games that feature some of the top ranked teams, as those are the games that you are probably also going to be able to watch on TV. I don’t know about you guys, but I enjoy being able to watch the games that I wager on. Without further ado, let’s get to the college basketball betting lines.

Expert Picks For Saturday’s College Basketball (Feb. 18th)

Kansas Jayhawks over Baylor Bears

Without a doubt, the biggest game on the schedule, as it features the #3 and #4 teams in the nation. It’s fair to say that the winner of this game is going to have a legitimate shot at being one of the #1 seeds in the tournament. The last meeting between these two saw Kansas Jayhawks win at home by 5 points, and I think we can expect another close one this Saturday. This one is essentially a coin flip, but I am giving the slight edge to the Jayhawks, although I believe it will only be a point or two that separates these two teams.

Florida Gators over Mississippi State Bulldogs

I always like to throw in a little bit of a gimme when I do these picks, as getting a win can set you up nicely for the rest of the day. The Gators are on a solid runoff form that has seen them climb all the way to the #9 seed in the nation. The Bulldogs have been struggling since entering conference play, and have only won 3 of their last 10 games. The one thing to watch for in this one is the Bulldogs being able to cover, which they have done regularly this season. Straight up, though, put your money on the Gators.

Oregon Ducks over Colorado Buffaloes

This is another game where the non-ranked team may be able to get some joy ATS, but where they will likely end up losing. Colorado won the first meeting of the season versus Oregon when playing in their own building, but they are in for a tougher go of things when they head to Oregon, as the Ducks are currently sitting at 16-0 at home. This one may be a little closer than some expect, but still taking the Ducks to win.

North Carolina Tar Heels over Virginia Cavaliers

Another huge game featuring a pair of ranked teams, both of whom appear to be heading in opposite directions. The Cavaliers are a team in trouble right now, having lost 4 of their last 6 games. Their stock is dropping fast, and they need a signature win to get back on track. I’m not sure that this will be the game where it happens, though, as the Tar Heels are very good at home. Another close one, but I like UNC to win.
