The WCC is a conference that doesn’t get much in the way of attention, and it’s usually left to Gonzaga to carry the torch. The Bulldogs are once again leading the way, but they are getting some pressure from St, Mary’s and BYU this season, which has some people starting to sit up and take notice of what’s going on in the WCC. While some of the top ranked teams are playing non-conference games this weekend, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are going against a conference foe in the form of the Pepperdine Waves. Given how Gonzaga have been blowing through their competition this season, this would appear to be a rather straightforward Saturday night for them, and the biggest question is likely to be how wide the margin of victory will be. The Bulldogs have not let up against lesser opposition, and you really need to feel as though this could be a very long night indeed for the struggling Pepperdine Waves. Find the updated NCAA basketball spreads here.

Why bet on the Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Bulldogs have the distinction of being the only unbeaten team left in college basketball, and on paper, it does not look as though that will change this coming Saturday. The last time these two teams hooked up, it was the Bulldogs who won 92-62, with that game being played on their home court. Over the course of the season, the average margin of victory for Gonzaga has been 22 points, so that victory certainly wasn’t a major surprise. If you are looking at betting ATS in this game, then the Bulldogs would appear to be a solid bet, as they have gone 14-4 ATS this season. They are also 9-9 O/U in lines games this season.

Why bet on the Pepperdine Waves

he Waves come into this one sporting a rather unpleasant 6-15 record on the season, which includes going 2-7 SU in conference play. If there is a positive to be found with the Waves, it’s that they have a winning record of 5-4 on home court, but we also have to point out that they have been horribly poor against ranked teams this season. They are coming into this one on a win, taking out Portland 78-60 in their last outing. The Waves have not been a particularly good bet ATS this season, going 7-13 overall, and 3-5 ATS on home court. One thing to pay attention to here if you are keen on playing the OVER/UNDER is that 13 of the 20 lines games Pepperdine have played this season have gone OVER.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

Like I said earlier in this piece, this game really does just come down to margin of victory. I see no way in which Pepperdine will be able to spring the upset here, but I do think that this one won’t be as big a blowout as the last meeting was.
